Can Mana Leech sustain Frenzy?

It seems that it makes no difference how much mana leech I have because it doesn't leech quickly enough, if the leech was applied instantly I'd have no trouble but it doesn't, so is there anything you can do other than use a quality mana leech gem?

Am I getting the wrong impression or is mana leech applied too slowly no matter how much you have?

You can lech 12.5% of your mana pool per sec. So it is possible that you cant sustain the mana if you attack to fast. So stacking more mana leech wont help.

You can run Clarity with Empower and grab % Increased effect of auras nodes and Inner Force. Or you can try getting a really big mana pool (with EB, for example) so you leech a higher absolute mana than with a smaller mana pool.

Increasing your max mana increases the amount you get from leech per second. If you have 500 mana it's 62.5/second but if you have 1000, it's twice that.

Quality helps a freakin ton. 110 mana after Aura and I can sustain Frenzy forever. 0.18 attack time according to tooltip.

Yea quality on the mana leech gem makes it work (but the whole idea was to not lose a support gem, it's the same as using blood magic then) but what's the point of having it on gear if you have to use the gem anyway and on gear it's almost useless?

I no longer have the need for any other mana leech gear/nodes as my Frenzy damage already exceeds the amount of mana I can leech back. (12.5% mana per sec). Currently using BM gem though.

you need to increase your dps I think.
I have pretty low mana and with 1% leech from item I can support frenzy-crit rate, crit dmg, added fire, faster attacks...
as long as you have enough phys deeps to leech the max and also you have enough mana pool to use the skill 2/3 times before empty you should be fine.
also if your accuracy sux you can ne ussing mana to shoot but not gettin any back on some of your attacks.
I do no regen maps fine with 1% mana leech and usually dont carry mana flask either.

edit: I see now you mean your leech speed is to low, I thought you meant your leech amount was too low.

What is the cost of your skill per attack? I figured out one thing - you should multiply you manacost per attack by 2 and add 10 more mana. If you have at least 2% manaleech and lvl 14 and above clarity you should get enough manaregen to spam skill
I have a 6l reave with 5 dmg supports it costs 48 mana. After 2 auras on mana I have 110 mana left. I use clarity on life. So, I collected 4% manaleech on gear. My overall mana is 680. I can attack and I never run out of mana, if you hit someone of course. The only problem is 50% and no regen maps. You shoulb have enough phys dp
