[SUGGESTION] Aura Only Skill Bar
So, we have three skills on mouse and 5 on keyboard but I think it would be great to have an entirely separate bar with slots that ran only aura skills.

You can already run auras without them being on the bar, so maybe. Not really something for GGG to worry about though.

I don't think it would be that hard to code since you can already run auras without them being on the skill bar. Maybe even just adding F-key binds or something to make them not such a pain for support characters to switch.
I know our poor bard has to keep track of like 10 different auras. |

Since the advent of 60% auras and trigger gems, especially CwDT, my interest in hotkeying more than eight skills at once has been eliminated. I can only run two auras and there's no need to assign skills I can no longer cast. My characters wound up with 4-7 active skills that fit easily into the 8-slot skill bar.

" Defenders everywhere, your tongues must be tired, give them a rest. Anyway, I'd like to support this idea, I don't see where anyone would be getting a negative thing with it. This game is constantly adding really cool stuff for it not to fit in the skill bar. And for recasting auras when killed or shutting them down for a sec to cast something special which require lots of mp (like really-buffed-zombies) it would be useful as hell. |

Well, I was thinking a slide-out bar that comes out of the skills panel UI. It could even contain all of the auras in the game and just highlight the ones you have available to run.

" This is about as relevant as someone in Antarctica not needing a coat because it's warm at your house... " That would be awesome. |

To me, this creates a resource that players would miss out on if they chose to not use auras, and I don't think that should be the case any more than if they chose to not use curses, melee attacks, fire spells or any other class of skill. I'd prefer more generic-use slots so as not to favour one kind of skill.

" Okay, Feyith already said it but let me add to it. You not using a certain skill or feature is not a valid argument for keeping something our of the game. None of my characters use two-handed swords so why don't we just remove them from the game? That's the logic right? If I don't use or need it, no one should. I disagree with that line of reasoning. " You can't "miss out" on a resource you don't need, that makes no sense. Not using auras and having an aura bar available is not going to ruin anyone's build or cause them to be disadvantaged as you're claiming. If you use the second weapon slot and I don't, does that mean that you should lose it? Does that mean that the devs should not have put it in the game since I don't use it? Besides that, auras are not active skills and, thus, are very different in function from things like curses and melee attacks. They are not cast over and over like a curse, spell or attack but only once and remain active until character death, logout or until they are deactivated. I run eight auras with one of my characters and in a few levels I'll be running nine. It's a pain to have to change the box, active the aura, change it again, activate the next, etc. There is no set limit to the number of auras I can cast, so why not create a simple UI panel that lets me do, more quickly, the same operation I do now? How would other players/classes be put at a disadvantage for me having to take less time and go through less hassle to activate and deactivate my auras?
