More affix == need to trade more (because crafting would be even harder than finding the 3 specific mods needed for your build on xyz).
But more affix + some recipes to craft them could be ok, but ffs make those recipes public then... And desync fucking sucks. Making totem or burning misscreation builds so that we still kill enemies even if we don't know where they are isn't "L2P with it" to a satisfactory level imo... More affixes please. Need proper drawback affixes on rares, like -light radius. So that when you find a GG rare with -light, you can then eternal/exalt +light radius, to make it better.

I understand all your concerns with more affixes making it harder to roll 'good' ones, take staves as an example of that, but you have to admit if there were more interesting affixes then the number of 'good' affixes would increase as well.

I'd say it's less that more affixes need to be added and more that the entire system needs to be overhauled.
It's a pretty shitty system that it's even possible for an item with 6 high level rolls to be considerably worse in all situations than an item with 3 mid-level rolls. I mean it's possible to get high level items with -32% attribute requirements, +6 mana on kill, +11 health on kill as the suffixes. Why is that even possible? What's the use? Why waste a database record on that? Why waste bandwidth even notifying the player of that? Just redo the entire affix system. If there's time to rebalance the rest of the game around having more dynamic gear ( meaning content not requiring capped resists on top of a massive buffer ) then make interesting affixes ( +X% attack speed for Y seconds after kill, +X% cold resistance for Y seconds after being frozen ) otherwise just straight-up remove all affixes that don't help in gear checks.
