Constant disconnect on zone change

I am having this same issue. Am becoming quite frustrated as I have been a constant player for over a year and have never had this issue. It only happens when I am loading instances and even happens when logging into the game. I have re-installed my NIC drivers and have even gone as far as to re-install windows but am still being disconnected constantly when loading new instances. I am super bummed. We have two computers here and the other computer is not having any of these issues. I have reconfigured my IP, tried using a wired and then wireless connection. I have turned off all anti-virus and enabled exceptions to all of PoE. I always log into US servers. Any clues as to what is happening woudl help because I absolutely love this game but if this doesn't change I will have to stop playing. Its making me want to pull my hair out...plz help!

I forgot to mention that we have a very solid internet connection here. At least 33mps download and 3.3mps upload. Have run multiple tests to ping connection and there seems to be no conflict with ISP or modem/router.

Im having this same problem currently. I played yesterday without any issues and now it boots me after a random instance change. I tried speedtest.net and got a ping of 9ms and good up/down.

I am also having massive problems with this.

When logging in sometimes it will take 15 tries to actually get logged in then things are fine till i zone somewhere. If i do manage to zone in there when I am done that zone and zone out I usually get disconnected. I have also checked all available networking components and connections on my end. I even formatted and reinstalled.

-disconnects while
- zoning
- resurrecting after death

Also this type of DC also destroys the instance for me. For example. Before this started happening which was about 2 weeks ago. If I made a portal and then completely shut my computer off and restarted it and reconnected to the game and logged back in I could find my portal still there.

This DC is different. If i make a portal and zone back to town I will usually get DC'ed. When I relog in the portal is gone. I cant even go back to where I was because of portal being gone AND the instance is reset too. So if I log on after this DC and waypoint in it's a completely new instance.

The game is unplayable because making it to the next checkpoint is basically impossible

Please tell me how to fix this !!!!


I would like to not that I do seem to notice a little bit more stability if i wait up to 5 seconds before clicking any instance or login buttons. like giving it 5 seconds between changing screens. it doesnt work all the time but it is probably 20% more effective.

For anyone still having this issue, I have managed to fix it by setting the windows page file to a constant size.



The total page file should be 1-2x your RAM, spread across multiple hard drives if possible.

I'm experiencing this problem too - very frustrating.

WOW!!! This seems to have solved the issue for me too. This post should be pinned lol, I've had this issue on and off since the first day I installed POE 3 years ago
