ive been saying it for a long time - searing bond (and barrage) are support gems that somehow miss the 'support' tag

as for the summoners

Animate Weapon IS a decent skill but you have to use anger/wrath+minion speed and keep summoning these swords. they really do all right as a dmg and very good as meatshield. what i miss is 'summon blue unID weapon' because chances for someone to ID a blue and then summon it are ZERO
Summoners are going to get buffed at low levels and hit with a hard nerf at higher levels. I promise.

I would say about the Animate weapon... and maybe it could work for all summons but...
The game really needs a comand to order summons to attack a precise monster

could even be a support gem "Command"

which is maybe one of the new summons skill
ZiggyD is the Labyrinth of streamers, some like it, some dont, but GGG will make sure to push it down ur throat to make you like it
If they nerf high level summoners I will be baffled...

Summoners running 77/78 maps with hard mods solo or groups, even with all the purity auras and all the minion passives and all the gems to make them tanky still have massive troubles with bosses because the huge amount of aoe and the lack of being able to control what your minions do.

Im lvl 95 and iv ran countless maps and I know this- summoners at high level need a buff to minion survivability not a nerf. Yes you can abuse Cast on death and that shit should be removed.

But if they want to remove snapshotting they need to give some massive survivibily buffs to minions to make summoner end game viable. And please don't post "my summoner does end game fine" if you haven't ran 77/78 maps with double bosses solo as a summoner to know what you are talking about.

There something wrong if im running all 3 fire/ice/light resits auras disc and vitality and im having my lvl 78 specters with minion life and all minion passives get destroyed by a crematorium or courtyard boss with no mods. That shit needs fixing. They are resist capped and have the max life allowed by the game yet stil cant survive.

We need-

1. a button to make minions passive/aggressive or some way to control them better or recall them.

2. Huge buff to minion hp to allow you to build more tanky minions by sacrificing dps if you must.

3. Minions to stay alive when you DC or log out!!!!!! I want to keep the lvl 78 specters I worked very hard to summon and find in high lvl maps. I don't want to leave my computer on for days just so I don't need 10 min of prep time and 5 exalteds in maps to find them every day.


Also animate guardian if fine as it is. People just haven't figured out how to properly use it. Iv had one for about 1 week now and hes been doing 70-78 maps just fine (wearing full set of uniques)

I knew that snapshotting existed, yet never feeled to "need" to use it, so they can fix the bug. A buff to low to mid lvl gameplay for summoners would be awesome since your zombies and skeletons just suck at those lvls. I hope the new summon skill gem is good, though im not sure i like it being timed which means being squishy like skeletons, rather have pernament minions :)

And please GGG, I want to be able to individually dismiss my spectres and zombies, why isint there a button for this.

Not every build can run double boss 78 maps solo. I don't know whgy you would think that.

Besides you can get by with animate guardian. You just said so.

Yes but builds that focus 100% of all possible points and gems into hp defence should be able to survive more then 1 second in the high end map bosses. Summoners struggle to do that even if you ivnest in every single possible way to make your minions survive its still not enough. That needs changing.

Also the guardian is not a dps minions its pure utility. Him surving in high end maps means nothing if all my dps minions are one shoted in creamatorium boss fire aoe with 85% resits.

I wish there were more options for quality over quantity with summoning in PoE.

Right now, there are 6 summon clusters in the passive tree and all of them are general purpose clusters: +10% Life to Summons and/or +15% Damage to Summons with a +Quantity node at the end. I think it would be a lot more interesting if there were some clusters that only affected a certain type of summon but had bigger bonuses for that type as well as a more interesting special node.

That does exist to some extent... its don't take the + to zombies or skeletons and use the extra points to invest heavily in aura passies to make you miniosn more tanky. That's what iv done. I run 2 Mont"s zombies, 2 specters, and one unique filled guardian and they clear all game content.

that's certainly what i'm expecting.

without CoD a summoner is fairly weak. Since some clever person found CoD they are actually fun to play, so time to nerf it.
