Old exalted orb had faces on them too. Just that they were small, most people didn't notice.

It's thematic, innit? Chaos orb rerolls, so you see a new face emerging from the old one, Exalt it's like a sea of faces that adds a new mod line but still retains aspects of the item beforehand (faces could be potential new mods/faces or the process of creating a new item requiring many Exalts), Divine it merely rerolls the item mods, hence it being a ResidentSleeper pose.

i agree the art looks old like rome scuplturesque which I like this theme, but I like the old exalt art more personally.
