what is it about the ugly faces on orbs

What is it about the ugly faces on orbs?

They all look similar and are all ugly.
I can't believe that exalted orb art was remade to look as bad as chaos, regal and divine.
Surely, there were some other concepts for orbs art but we settled on sad faces, why?

We have some nice looking orbs:

Are there any plans to change their art too?
We could then have a collection of goldish-bronze masks..
Female faces maybe?

I think those orbs look awesome and you can sort of tell their functions from the arts.

for me they are not ugly, it's old art

i personaly like them more ^^

i think its pretty cool idea to have some faced orbs, it reminds me of the behelit :)
