Thumbs up from me, it could make for a lot more flexibility in terms of gear used.

Looks interesting, can't really decide if i like or not, but definitely interesting :)

First: to achieve off-colors is intended to be hard.

Second: If u invest enough chroms u can even get insane off-colors rolls


Takes me about 3k chroms, but its fine cause to use 4r as ES-based shouldnt be easy. The argument "build diversity" fails here completly.

3,000 Chromatic Orbs for 4 off colours on a 4 socket item.. that's about 15 Exalted you invest in your item, even though the worth of it will not increase - not even a little.

And once you're gonnga be sick of your current build and probably gonna use this item for a caster build (in your case) and change it with 1 Chromatic back to 4 blue... Idk about that.
I don't like that, that's my personal opinion.

When it comes to build diversity, that's what makes this game kinda special, you got different classes, and you can wear all kind of gear with every class, you can use all kind of skills with every class, you can use the skill tree from a specific class with every other class.
So I guess it doesn't fail at all, it should even be supported that it will work better, since that's an exciting part of this game - to make strange kind of builds, the fact that to make such a build viable, could be difficult enough.

Thats absolutely not true. Its special and everyone who use a chrome on it would be very dumb ;)
I sold rainbowstrides with 4 off-colors for the double of its worth some time ago. Cause its hard to achieve and useful makes it very valueable. But its true that such an item is harder to sell.

U have to know if its worth enough to make such a thing. Btw ES is designed for caster. if u dont take dmg for a while u regenerate. Thats perfect for the play style of an ranged "supporterlike char. And red and green gems are rather for melees and more active chars.

The off color rule dont restrict to use melee skills, but makes it more expensive. I think thats a great thing to have a true inherent value of items. If u can use everything from beginning u dont have any goal.
