Question on Levels/Stats
Well short answer the skill tree. Right now it's fairly large. So depending on how you drop your points you can have a different character even if they're from the same class.
Yes good sir, I enjoy slaying mythical creatures.

" Good news. So what does the 1+ stat add to when put onto each of the three Strength, Dexterity and Intellegence. My concern is health or 'hp'. Will strength characters have much higher HP than other classes and, is this determined by the points spent on a statistic or by level? I would imagine strength is; Health Points+? Health Regain Rate? Carry weight? Attack power? Dexterity; Accuracy? dodging/evasion? Intellegence; Mana/magic 'fuel'? By failing to prepare, you prepare to fail.

The passive tree and those mechanics are not finalized yet, and the alpha testers are not allowed to be talking about specifics of the passive tree at this time until it's officially announced.
The generic answer to all passive tree questions is that the passive tree will impart a vast majority of the characteristics to your character, as you see fit... this is one of the major ways you customize your character, but the methodologies are not final, and have not been released yet. I'm not in alpha ( yet), but I imagine that when you level up you get your one skill point. This can be placed anywhere on the passive skill tree (or rather, anywhere that you have progressed to.) the passive skills might be, for example, a Strength skill called Thick Skin, which increases your defence per skill level put into it, with a maximum of, say, 3 points. So you would have health increase skills and if you so desired you could place all your skill points into health increase skills, but you would then have bad damage, defence, movement speed, mana cap, attack speed, etc. Most people will end up going a more varied build, and this is where build diversity comes into play, as there will be an enormous amount of builds possible.
[15:51] desophos: Loincloth + Leap Slam = unfortunate.
