Ask a (formerly) homeless (pseudo-)bum anything

This question is for Chris.

Now that Scrotie is homeless, might be a good time to offer him a job in NZ with GGG. He has solid ideas and a great understanding on the current game systems.

Seems like a no-brainer to me.

HIRE SCROTIE! Do it!
Due to an assault charge, I can't leave the state of Texas until I complete some court-ordered classes. I should be done with the classes, and the charges dropped, around Feb 15. So I couldn't take that job, at least not immediately.
When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.

I'd rather get some real PoE content up for AdSense money, but that's in a month or two when I'm back to being normal.

That's a very narrow target audience, higher production costs and heavy competition. A homeless blog on the other hand can be found interesting by anyone, requires nothing more than your phone and with a proper push it's easier to get out to the people.
Be ready. You're not paranoid, you're PREPARED.

I quit this game every few months and so should you to continue playing it in the future.

Might want to leave that bit off the resume. Hope it all works out for you, man. Never know what can happen!

I would only be ashamed of it if I actually did something. Went with the classes only because I have zero confidence in public defenders and trials are expensive.

Back in my mid 20's a had a tough stretch similar to what you're experiencing. Eventually, it turned around for me. Hope it does the same for you. Best wishes, man.
Dear Homeless Bum,

I've known for years that transients all need their phones a lot more than most people. They get pre-paid service and stolen/used smart phones. They use public wifi (open to the public) and libraries. A lot of them are using VoIP for free calls.

Would any of the bums you know want to spend $40-$100 on a cool little portable gadget which gives them more access to free wifi internet? I'm talking like miles and miles of extended range. Something which could work as a backup battery to recharge phones (and maybe include a solar panel for recharging).

Do you enjoy camping?

Have a great day.

Sincerely,
ionface

Signal range is actually a huge issue since shelters don't seem to have wifi and are not always located in the midst of urban development (you often have to get a little rural, testing the limits of public transit for the carless). I worry that your signal extended may be outside the typical homeless price range, but if it could be shared by many the cost could be split, making it more affordable.

I cannot abide the cold. At all. It's funny because I'm from up north originally but in Texas I'm often shivering while wearing two coats and a sweater. So as far as me and camping go I need equipment, especially a good high-qual sleeping bag (which I have) and tent (which I don't), and also confidence that if I start a fire the law won't fuck with me. Outside of that, camping's fun. Used to do it up north in less homeless circumstances.

Yes, I do.
Spoiler
That is an answer so you can't say I haven't answered all questions.
