Wealth in PoE allows players to bypass challenges and break the game

"We want character progress to feel meaningful"
Buy regrets

"Reflect..."
Buy Voltaxic

"Stupid RNG in crafting"
Use eternals

In PoE money lets players bypass challenges. In every other game, money lets you beat challenges and face more difficult ones.

Interesting, so expensive gear allows you to do difficult content that much less expensive gear does not?

Not saying if this is bad or not, but in PoE unlike most other games, money can buy enough stuff to dramatically alter gameplay. The difference in gameplay due to wealth is much larger than the difference between permanent and 4month leagues.

Fixed that for you.

But THATS just the same stuff with bigger numbers. The stuff I mentioned alters core gameplay mechanics sothat almost makes rich people play a different game
I just started a month ago, so take this for what it's worth:

My summoner with gear that isn't even worth an exalted for the full set would like a word with you.

Yeah, I see what you're getting at, but to be honest, given the farming rate, it makes more sense to just roll a new character if you've screwed up that bad. This wealth you mention doesn't just make itself out of thin air (shut up, you know what I mean). Look at Domination. Now, look at the threads of people QQing over things like how they were rich as hell in the previous league, but are as broke as MC Hammer in this one. They swear the drop rates were changed.

RNG is RNG, or you can "make your own luck", as most of the currency flippers have. Off of nothing but two days of Piety runs, I managed to put together enough currency to start flipping. Two days later I had made my first five exalted.

Quit crying and get to work. ;)
Kind of circular reasoning... we define wealth by how much stuff allows us to modify play, so certainly people with more wealth will be more adaptable.

There ya go

Fair enough. I'm only at about 480 so far. Yeah, I'm off work for the winter, so I have been doing almost nothing but playing PoE in that amount of time. I've seen how completely horrible the drop rates and crafting RNG are, which is why I stopped hoping that I would get a lucky drop, and started doing something about it. /shrug

You know this is incorrect right, every game based on loot has loot that dramatically alters gameplay if you have it.
Double post somehow
