Map invading....this BS has gone to far

"
Traders aren't using maps for trading, they're simply using maps to play as normal until someone responds to their ad. Can't expect a trader to stand around like a derp, boring themselves to death, while waiting for someone to pop up and buy/sell them something. :P

When you have to map to accumulate extra wealth, while trading, your doing it wrong.

I have to say, I have no idea what this is about. honestly.

You start a map and make it a public party and then are mad when people join? Not being a dick, I just have no clue what this is about. Why use a map for trading?

So mapping to occupy yourself while waiting for a response is logically impossible compared to standing around and doing nothing? :P

I love the rl comparisons of this 'map invasion' issue.

So, just because it's in a video game, it's not considered a dick move? Nice defence, brah.

He needed a better metaphor. The problem isn't that he compared killing a child with a gun to people joining his maps through the party board.

The problem is that the party board is designed or people to advertise their public party's for people to join.

Firearms are, and feel free to provide reasoning that says other wise i I'm mistaken, are designed with self-defense and general warfare in mind. Not putting a cap in someones child at random.

People are using the wrong metaphors in general to get their point across.

Here's a better one they can use:
Suppose you are going to a public park in order to have a picnic with your friends and/or family. Random people don't join in because it's obviously a picnic. Then suddenly comes another group of friends wanting to play football or some sport so they play in close proximity to the picnic in order to scare them off. And when the picnic-goers complain, the other group chimes in 'this is a public park and we have every right to be here, it's not our fault you're in our way'. All the while, the football players are eating what the picnic-goers brought with them.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

Yup its working. If I had a gun and shot someones kid, and they then complained about it, would you be so sarcastic as to say, "Well, its working as intended".

I'm pretty sure no kids were shot in the process of invading this instance.

Apples and grenades, not even close to apples and oranges.

-.-

But seriously, I don't invade, but I'm actually rooting for those who do. FFS, it IS for forming pub parties. Try not advertising there and make an indexed shop like the rest of us until GGG gets their fix ready.

I got a better one:

Suppose there is this public park with normal people doing normal things in it. Then a group A that haven't taken a bath in months visit the park and since they don't give a fuck about that other people can't stand their smell, they go anyways to the park to enjoy themselves.

Then in comes Group B, who has noticed that the smelly Group A has taken over the park and driven most normal people away. Group B will as means to annoy group A, play very loud music close to where Group A is doing their things in the park.

The smelly group A is annoyed by the music that group B plays and instead of taking a bath, they go QQ to the mayor of the town.
This message was delivered by GGG defence force.
Analogy.
The logic behind this one isnt quite sound but it's almost there, keep at it.

Oh and invaders keep up the good work :)

Yes, this is actually a descent example of whats going on here.

No one here is breaking any rules, it's simply two groups being disrespectful to each other.
-The traders for using the party board to advertise sales.
-The map invaders for bugging the traders

Unfortunately since their are no rules against anything that's happening there's not much that can be done either way.

Oh and yeah they're analogies, not metaphors. I Don't know why I get those confused.

You are handing out free maps to people who join, u could otherwise have sold for profit, yes you are doing it wrong, and you undermine your own business.
