If GGG allowed anyone who was banned from PoE (not Garena) access back to their account that was banned for a fee, it would be an absolute joke.

And GGG does not consider themselves a joke. So I think that I'll stand by my giggles over the notion that someone could pay to overturn a ban for botting or especially RMT. XD

Evidently you are having trouble reading. Go play PoE on Garena, get banned, and buy an unban card. It's that simple. It's a core part of Garena's business model.

PoE not Garena? What do you even mean by that? Garena is publishing PoE for South East Asia. It is PoE, and you can pay to get your account unbanned. What's so hard to understand about that?

In a way, this is sickening xD
And if you close your eyes, does it feel like your exalt almost hit this time~
I doubt GGG sees any of the money from the Garena un-ban card. It was probably a Garena system already in place that had to be included as part of the publishing deal.

They should get on that shit in the rest of the world though :)

So they are just letting Garena publish the game for free, without getting paid? Seems highly unlikely to me.

'Unban Card'

A first I thought it was a joke...

I'm sure they run RMT websites too.

BTW exactly the same situation with publishers in my country as well.

As low expenses, quality and support as possible, as much pay to win, RMT and profit as they can.
Paying to unban is the stupidest idea ever. It undermines the whole purpose of banning in the first place.

I'm really starting to question GGG's alliance with Garena now that I know it's an actual thing.

Not to mention if GGG ever took this route (which I highly doubt as it would be severely out of character for them) the forums would be non stop posts of people claiming their ban is unjustified and GGG is only trying to milk money out of them...

It's a sloppy solution.

Some people have dynamic IPs. You also risk banning players that have randomly been assigned a banned player's IP -- though that is incredibly unlikely.

So this means that RMT websites based there can simply use a bit of their income to keep their "rich" accounts unbanned in case they ever get caught ?
Now that sucks.

LOL pay to unban an account

Now that's a first I think (as far as insane suggestions go)

I've got a better insane suggestion... charge us each $100 to make an account but make that fully refundable if you quit the game in good graces. Get caught cheating and the $100 is forfeited.

So what you're saying is that your Garena account is your PoE account then? And in that case it is Garena who is in charge of bans and not PoE?
