Dungeons and world

I'm not gonna rip on D3, I thing the game is decent in its own rights.

But to point to it as an example of randomness?

I wonder if you've played either game for more then 10 minutes.
1. Control Click an entrance or Waypoint
2. Opens the Instance Manager and create new instance
3. ???
4. Profit.

even if you guys prefer a realistic world (poe) compared to a more cartoony world (d3). You can't deny the fact that the artistic direction and the level of details is MUCH better in diablo 3 lol. It's not even a question of taste. It's a fact!

yes poe worlds are more random...but the layouts are a bit poorly desgined and it shows.

I still like it enough to play and I hope the game's gonna have more replayability and more depth than d3. Won't be too hard to surpass imo hehe.

A lot of people here will not agree. This game has it's own style and it's own feel for the world, and I for one find it quite enjoyable.

My thoughts exactly.

I completely agree.
While I will give D3 some love, Act three was my favorite. Loved the castle fighting. Please remember that Blizzard has a ton of money and resources. PoE is a work of love by a small studio that built the game they want to play. Polished may not describe the world, but it succeeds in being the gritty world it is trying to portray.

Play on and it gets better. Or don't. Its free to play so if you feel you don't like it, at least you didn't blow $60 on it.

it's because the d3 devs had way more time doing small level details
after they removed customization and itemization from the game.
that's a fact too.

it's more that they have infinite founds and a huge team...which is sad because they still managed to make a sub-par game lol. Imagine if we could merge d3 team skills with GGG ideas? that would make one hell of a game :-)

I dont agree at all. D3 doesnt have sharp textures and the colors are pretty cartoonish. On the flipsite it probably offers more details. HOWEVER i see that one game is developed by a small indie company and one game was developed by a major developer with millions of money.

PoE is def. the better outcome.

Definitely this. It's a matter of degrees but looking at the resources GGG had available compared to Blizzard PoE is a staggeringly better product by several degrees of magnitude

Not to mention you can actually connect to their servers and play the game on release (That Error 37 dialog box is still burned into my retinas) :)
I must not fear, fear is the mind killer...

At least act 2 is not a freaking desert.

OP. I have to disagree. While the first act is indeed not very colorful, it's really atmospheric. The second act where you go the the lush forests is really good with a nice mix of different dungeons and environments. And act 3 is pure awesome.

That gave me giggles. I was so happy to walk into a forest in act 2 and not the blandest desert setting ever created.
