80+ levelling
I have been with this game from the start check my start date :)
It has changed a lot I mean a hell of a lot and mostly good except for the options level 80's + have now to level before release there was a few we could do but it seems now unless you want to spend hours on hours leveling 2% a hour in lower level safe grounds you risk getting one shotted and losing 15% a time. I just went through a lvl67 map and got killed three times at lvl 82, resist all 77 armour 8K DPS 15K and I could not even get a shot off to three blue devourers who popped into my face....I was on 45% and dropped to 0 and this has been happening for two months now I am stuck on 82. I do love this game but I think serious thought needs to be taken as regards to higher level progression I know of a lot of friends who are taking a break and are doing the D3 close beta and PTR as I will now .... GGG I have supported you from the start but bashing my head and having to restart time and time again because of some random one shot I have run out of love..... |

lvling 85+ chars painful if u solo, too much rage after desync death, when you lost 4-5 hours of intense playtime in 1 sec
i stop lvling my main and lvlup 2 new to 80 to keep having fun from POE ign - FancySneakyDevil

agreed. I have some characters at lvl 76 and 74 and its annoying trying to get those to 80. I cant image trying to get to 100.
To me, this has turned into Path of Alts. Not playing anymore. It was a fun ride since 2013!! I just browse the forum now. ~~~~~ "We are spiritual beings having a human experience, not the other way around." ~~~~~"All that you are is the sum of all your thoughts."

" Jesus. You should play HC. It will teach you something about not dying.
Disagree. Lategame is meant to be challenging so that only patient ones make it to the end. Look at how well those level 90 players are doing. Other RPG games out there has much worse levelling systems.

" Those lvl 90 players have friends in game and are partying all the time. I dont have any friends playing this game and I dislike partying. So how I am supposed to get to 90+ without getting bored and frustrated ? And anyway.... define "only patient ones make it to the end". Define end. For me, the end is when i kill Dominus on Merciless and thats it. Maps are just a bonus for me to hang around with my character for a little bit longer. |

" My problem with late-game is that RNG is not challenging...I just run out of good maps and can't do anything about it no matter how well I roll them, then if I die to something like desync (or even have d/cs cost me a high-level map), it can really be a set-back for no good reason. Just my two cents, but I think the RNG aspect of mapping makes end-game too punishing whether or not you're dying, especially as a solo player (where I can't even afford to roll maps anymore because I don't have a group for this game). " Merciless Piety is normal Hillock of the game.
" I fail to see your point. Enlighten me. |

" That is why I got 6 lvl 80+ characters, and one of them is nearing 90 (Technically at 88) each day. Each character are unique in their own way, that it is fun mapping every time be it from lvl 66, or to my highest character doing lvl 72-75 maps day in and day out. As long as I keep alternating characters, my experience is always slightly different. When I speak of experience, I speak of what my character can or cannot do? Will it be able to tackle this challenge? When will I hit the wall with this character, or how do I approach X boss with X char? Funny thing, I am already theory-crafting another character that could and will reach high level contents, but at the moment I am just brainstorming, and see if the pieces all fall in place and as well as forking currencies to get those pieces. I will probably start going back to my other chars once my highest reach 89 or 90. I want the other five to at around 83-85. After that, it is weird the experience bar starts to get frisky with me. Sometimes you can take the game out of the garage but you can't take the garage out of the game. - raics, 06.08.2016 Last edited by JohnNamikaze#6516 on Dec 26, 2013, 7:37:46 AM
