I wholeheartedly disagree. More people with a skill does not mean that balance has changed. The balance resides in the possibility of it ever happening, not the frequency. I agree that 6L's should not be achieved without significant effort, but the fact they exist is all that is needed to balance them.

Edit: frequency does come into play with balance if simply everyone is using the same mechanic. However, 6-linked sockets is not a mechanic. Everyone IS using linked sockets, and it's a fundamental concept of the game. It's already balanced around everyone having 6 sockets. It's just more challenging/frustrating than it should be to make it fun.

Find this personaly a good idea, what the OP includes.

Will normalize the Market more and make the "flippin" of a Item depends only on Sockets/Links less rewardfull.
Removing the random (that some player need a lot fusings) or reducing the amount of fusings needed to makes a 6 link item, makes fusings worthless.

This mechanism is the only way to make orbs you find in mass worth full. No other game has worth full items you can find direct at beginning in level 1. No other game has a working economy for such a long time.

If you don't want to make a 6-Link you can use a "Bringer of Rain"

Took 300+ jewelers to make it 6S but 8 Fusings to make it 6L

Had 400 fusings ready but took 354 Fusings for 6L Shavs


I say if you want a 6L have atleast 500 fuses ready. Don't fuse them when you don't have bulks of fusings. its just a waste imo cause the odds are slim.
