Erm no? DOTA 2 is a copy and paste of DOTA. I won't get into the LoL vs DOTA debate (even though LoL is vastly superior to me), but DOTA 2 is no way genre defining, nor is it the first of its genre (that would be DOTA...from many many moons ago).

Gamespot is pretty much the bottom of our beloved gaming media.
And for me it looks like this is some kind of "lets get the real hc players and readers back" -attempt.
Nice free PR of course.
