Bandit Quest Rewards
Hi there,
i want to clarify something. If i choose to help, lets say Oak, i can just as well help the other two bandits right? If i want the skillpoint i have to kill all three of them them? Thx |

no you can only help 1 bandit or kill all 3 for the skillpoint

the 3 bandits are rivals. When you agree to help 1, you are agreeing to kill the other 2.
The game does not adapt to you, you adapt to it. Last edited by Delmas#1107 on Jan 23, 2013, 3:06:13 AM

Just to add on, be careful on Bandits, they can be harsh for new players if you are not prepared.

each bandit give a different bonus.you can choose to help 1 of them but you need to kill the 2 other.the bandit you helped will give you the bonus when the 2 other are death.
you can kill the 3 bandit for 1 passive point also(same for all difficulty). each bandit bonus are different from each difficulty. normal=hp/mana/all resists cruel=atk speed/cast speed/physical dmg merciless=maximum endurance charge increase by 1/maximum frenzy charge increase by 1/and another charge i dont remember this one. Its a tough call, which is excellent really.
Do you take an attribute since its something you would have taken off the passive tree anyway, saving yourself some bridging nodes? or do you take the passive point for greater flexibility in the future. Its refreshing to have real decisions to make :) |

Thank you for all the answers!
In the past i chose to get the passive skillpoint each time and i didnt know until now that i can only help one bandit :) With the changes to the rewards i think i will get +HP, +Attack Speed and a passive point in the three difficulties respectively (ele-bow-shadow). /Questions got answered; can be closed |

" If you're min/maxing or on Hardcore, the HP is pretty much always the right answer for the Normal quest version. The skill points is almost always the answer for the next 2 versions. The HP should almost always be taken with 2 exceptions I can think of, CI builds and niche/experimental builds where you need the points to actually reach further on the tree. Besides that, take the HP. +40 HP is more than a life node would give you. Now, most people's reply to that is, "Well, I would have spent that extra point on DPS anyway so it doesn't matter". For almost everyone, you will already get enough points to take all of the DPS nodes you want. Go ahead and plan your build slowly on the calculator. There will most likely be a juncture (probably towards the 90's) where you'll be grabbing nodes that aren't really central to your build and are probably survivability nodes. As for the 2 Cruel/Merc, the point is usually better than the stats they give if you plan your build right in advance. There are some exceptions like, some builds might want to take the extra Charge (Power Siphon wand build). There are probably a couple more exceptions to what I listed, but overall as a rule of thumb, grab the HP first and then the skill points. |____________ G . L . O . W . Y . R . " Thanks for this. Great writeup. I'm not familiar enough with the game/tree yet to know if the various flat and % health increases combine in ways that make this more or less valuable, so this answers exactly what I was wondering! |
