Cast on crit not working as intended

I am a ranger using Ice Shot and Split Arrow as my main attack skills.
Since my build is crit-oriented, with a solid 33% chance to crit, I recently decided to 4-link my Rat's nest and put in it a cast on crit gem, to give support to Frenzy, Detonate Dead and Rain of Arrows. However, out of all those, only Detonate Dead gets supported -- rain of arrows and Frenzy don't get supported and I can cast them directly. Why does this happen? |

Cast on crit doesnt work like this...
It works like this: u need a attack(like frenzy or rain of arrows or anything) link it with cast on crit then link all spells(not attacks) u want to trigger with the attack u cant just drop it anywhere in your equipemt with some spells like cast on dmg taken Last edited by SlayerII#5847 on Dec 16, 2013, 1:05:42 PM

i dont know if you are trolling or what, why do expect that rain of arrows would be casted? its an ATTACK not a spell, only spells get casted

User error. Cast on crit works with spells, which ice shot and split arrow are not.

OK, I am now using a combination of cast on crit + molten shell + detonate dead + decoy totem... all spells as you can see. However, no matter how many times i crit an enemy, they still don't get cast! User error again or what?
