Made my entry:
I'd like to see a proximity alert that provides a direction of a specific threat; eg another player approaching who has a history of killing lower level players. This would grant a person some time to flee/hide, and groups a chance to prepare an assault. Especially useful in PvP arenas playing hardcore mode. Additionally, creatures could have auras that indicate a challenge rating; based on a comparison to the player. Imagine a high level opponent with screaming skulls emanating from his body.

It's not pointless making suggestions for a game you haven't played. There's enough material out there (and in here) for you to get an idea, and you can simply give an idea (any idea at all) that you'd like to see in the game.

"Make one of the rocks attack people that walk near it."

"Give me a shield that damages attackers"
or
"Make some of the scenic animals follow the player around until it sees him attack something, then flee in a mad panic"
or
"I want to be able to change up an attack and unleash a more devastating blow"
or
"Let us teleport between waypoints, or between cities we've visited"
or
"Have us need to find and train with specific NPCs to gain more powerful abilities"
or
"I don't want to read a novel between chapters. I'm here for the action, not a long-winded storyline"
or
"Create automatic screenshots/videos of impressive combination attacks players make, and post them online"
or
"Create an oasis that's completely pristine where players can relax for a while; has no other purpose than being a nice place to be"


You don't need to have played the game to provide some form of advice on what sort of features you like in a game. If you're a writer, you can also add specific quests to the list:

"NPC-a lost an amulet, but thinks NPC-b stole it. You find NPC-b and have to choose whether to believe his/her story or fight/kill them and try to retrieve it. Meaning; add morals/ethics and subsequent repercussions to the mix"

If you're coming up empty, think about Diablo 2 and what you would have included in that game to make it better.


Hope this helps others come up with suggestions. Because lets face it, I'm keen as hell to get into the game, and the more useful suggestions the team gets, the better it's going to be.

(note; these example suggestions aren't part of the competition; I've already made my entry. But feel free to take the (half humorous) advice.)

Complicated (Hardcore) modes of boss fights, where you would need enviromental around you to defeat it. Example to shoot wooden plank away from the well what starts the water flow on the boss (lets say some kind of Fire boss) To make it vurnable to damage for little time. Also to make the hardcore characters skills harder to hit, that they could be actual "skillshots". not just shooting at north to mob, but there might be weather effect to make your projectiles not go straight sometimes.

Hello. I new at this site. I wonder what I must do to get beta key. I register today after I saw few youtube movies bout this game. It looks amazing. Much better than Diablo 3. I'm 29 years old and have played Diablo 1 and 2 and any other h&s game can't compare to those two but I think since now. I'm whaiting for Diablo 3 and looking everything bout this game on the net. When I was serching new info bout Diablo 3 I have found this site. Plz can anyone tell Me what I must do to get beta key for Path of Exile the game that in my opinion should be the real Diablo 3. And sry for My english :-) I'm from Poland. Tom
