Also on a serious note as well, ggg instead of making microtransactions every 2 days, try and balance your game for a change.

This boss is seriously harder than 76 bosses and even shrine piety almost.

I can do them but i cant do this, great balancing.

the thing 1 shot my mara with 6k hp and capped lightning res. Which makes it even funnier is that there were no added dmg/ boss dmg or curse mods on the map.

its a cakewalk with an RF tank tho. killed it with ease and i didnt know what to expect. in fact i facetanked his beam, cause i didnt know how to stop it lol.

purity if lightning + topaz and you are set, well and get lots of HP or Es or both.
when its dead, just move out the totems range until they despawn.

With Saffel+purity of lightning this boss is not that difficult. Just hide behind a pillar when the beam begin.

Unfortunately you are misinformed. Aegis doesn't block the beam. Nor does Saffel's. You can't block it.

Saffels will NOT work against that beam, only against the totems.

The 'laser beam', or 'beam of death' as I call it, is a DOT, damage over time.

So you CANNOT BLOCK it with spell block.

I have 68% phy /58% spell block, and my health just drops when the beam is cast. I have never had any issues with other spell bosses (Shrine Piety etc), so it's definitely a DOT not a convensional spell.

As others have said, when the boss casts the beam, hide behind the pillar to break the beam, then resume to kill the boss.

Once boss is dead, loot the goods, and GET OUT.

Totems don't give shit when killed.

worth noting though that Saffells gives you +5% max resists, it absolutely helps with any high ele damage regardless of block.

True, but, the lightning storms + totems completely negate the DoT of the beam.

If you're an Aegis user and you know what you're doing, you can easily afk in there.

I have had zero issues with Shock & Horror on my 2H CI Melee Scion, and the only mod I have avoided on that map is -max res, because -max res does scare me a bit.

36k DPS, 20% life leech, 77% all res + topaz flask, 5.2k ES

Had a scare with the splitting mod once because I didn't realize it meant all 5 lightning totems would get cast at once (I usually kill it before more than 2 are cast), but I heal to full so quickly that it didn't matter.

Seems like it's just a boss that requires you to have high DPS or high spell block to be able to handle easily. I don't really understand the QQing about it.

This, I was surprised to see so many people claimig their high block would help. You cannot block that bosses beam.

Also, I recall seeing a video where someone uses frostwall with cwdt and it seems to work. Didn't help much though.

I wholeheartedly agree with the assessment that the Vaal fight is a really well designed boss fight and everything they produced after was meh at best. But what do you expect when you employ a person that had a habit using any exploit or loophole beating the game before? I get that they want "someone on the inside", but a) it generates a shitty public image when that someone still beats the game with borderline mechanics in public streams and b) he should never ever be allowed to design in game content again. He is flat out horrible at it.
