Any plans for macro support - for gaming mice - Razor Naga etc.

fair point, I think my enquiry was coming more from my desire to be able to play a game like PoE with just my mouse. As I have to hunch to get to the keyboard :(

Nothing much can be done about that. I know its not the complexity in "blinking-action-press-stuff" that say WoW has, I can create macros with my mouses software but to be honest I'm not very good at it. Its harder than it seems, you can make a 8 press macro and it takes a long time to get the pauses right for it to even work properly.

Anyway thanks for all the replies, I can see the logic behind the reasons why it more than likely wouldn't be implemented.

And Razer Naga as I think is the only real mouse to play MMO's if your are the macro-type gamer.

If you are not too suitable for playing with keyboard, you should check 'Cyber Snipa Game Pad V2' or similar pieces of equipment. I used to PvP in Lineage 2 with using exact thing.

Thanks i'll definatly check that out :)

I think macros, if placed in the game right, could actually make the PvP interesting in terms of combinations how people would use them. Like I saw earlier in the thread, shift from bow to 1H+Shielf to shieldsmash and stun the opponent to gain acces to an open shot or flee situation.

Could also, however, be very hard to balance.

I think you should be able to if your mouse has a lot of buttons. Currently you can only bind skills on left click, middle mouse button, right click, and QWERT. However, I am sure they will let you change the keybindings in the final game. Maybe you will be even able to scroll through your skills with the mousewheel. Other than the action buttons you only need left click, occasionally shift and 1-5 for flasks. With one of those crazy mice that have loads of buttons this might be doable.

But you can do this manually (note that I read there will be switchable weapon slots like in D2), how would make macros it more "interesting"? I would not admire people who can do this flawlessly anymore, I'd just be like "meh, he pressed one button".

i dont use macros myself, but i suppose the devs will make a decision on it.
