How the hell did you pay so much for such a mediocre computer?

Btw vidim da si slovenec :)

The socket 1366 i7 920 is hardly mediocre especially paired with the Asus P6T deluxe V2. I have this setup running OCed 4ghz and have been for 4 years. I was running 9800GTX's in SLI up until a few months ago. I started running twin 660's and have had and currently have no problems running any games at their higgest settings.

That being said, I just built a i7 3770k with 660gtx's SLI Asrock extreme 6 at an OC of 4.6ghz. I use this rig to stream my flightsims on Twitch.

The 3770k benches slightly higher than the i7 920, but not enough to call it a mediocre setup.

Also the socket 1366 is the most sought after socket in the Overclocking world.

While I agree overall with you, I would say the LGA 1155 took the OC mantle from the 1366 with the 2500k which can easily be OC'd up to 5.0GHz.

I'm personally running an OC'd i7 950, but I never bothered upgrading my system, especially since I purchased 24GB of triple channel memory for a really good deal last year.

To the OP, slick lookin' case. :)

what kind of 2500k are you running. I can achieve like 4.5ghz stable with stock but that's about it. Where on earth are you getting 5.0ghz stables?

Nice Rig and I especially like the logo

Currently I am running

i7 2600k 3.4ghz OC'd to 4.5 Sandy Bridge

Radeon HD7870

Gigabytes Z68 Motherboard

16gb RAM

240gb SSD w/ 2tb RAID0 config & 500gb backup drive.

I don't even want to mention my case because it is the ugliest PoS I have ever had, need a new one bad.

GGG thank you for all the great things you are doing. You have combined every element of all other great Rpg's and joined them together as one Diamond, that will shine Forever.

This is coming straight from the heart <3

Lol, but your specs are insane. How much you spend on this one ?? I specially like SSD's in RAID 0 , performance must be nuts, trough the roof. How is the transfer rate on them mb/s etc.

I would NEVER put my PC in the position you have it now, too risky.

As long as the processor can handle it, it has more to do with the motherboard, RAM, and cooling than anything. A little while back I helped my guildie OC his 2500k to 5.0GHz running at 1.39v. He is definitely not using stock cooling, and I personally do not recommend running an OC with a stock cooler. You can always check out overclock.net and there are tons of threads with people running stable @5.0GHz on a 2500k.

Some people will argue that it degrades the CPU, but I think that 1.39v is pretty reasonable. Over 1.4v and it may affect it over the long haul, but if you're OCing for gaming, how long before you're upgrading anyhow? I've been OCing since 1999 (literally, lol), and I've yet to kill a CPU that I wasn't intentionally trying to fry... FOR SCIENCE! ;)

One of my best buds and I actually got the original Doom to load on a 286 and played it for a few minutes before it hard locked. I'm probably dating myself with that statement though ;P

This is a crisis I knew had to come,
Destroying the balance I'd kept.
