Duping process with Mirror of Kalandra (what bug?)

Step 1: right click on mirror
Step 2: left click on item

Zomg duping bug! So what really happened? I see some really silly posts about using it on a kaoms with a shav skin...

We all read the vague patch notes

Fixed a dupe method involving the Mirror of Kalandra. It no longer also duplicates an item that was skin transfered into the target item.

By reading that its obvious that if an item had a skin transfer and then a mirror was used on it, it also mirrored the item that the skin was transferred from.

Thats what I got from it anyways.

For eample if I used a skin transfer from Armor A onto Armor B and then mirrored armor B. It would make a copy of Both Armor A and Armor B.

crazy. so lets say for example it was possible to use a badass 6l chest as a skin on a badass 6l chest. then mirror it (original 6l chest + 6l chest which was used as skin overlay) and afterwards remove the skin ? so basically you have mirrored 2 6l chests with only one mirror ?

According to one of the dev's, you would have to skin transfer the duped item back onto another item every time you logged out, otherwise the dupe detector would destroy it.

and the person who bought it is scammed then?

I bet it also would then dupe not normally mirrorable items, like legacy kaoms, and quickly sell the dupe for tonnes of exalts...

Btw, you can use uniques for skin trasnfers... ... .. Mirror uniques? OP.

Offer mirror service.

Receive X exalts and a mirror. Apply your Kaom as a skin over uber rare. Mirror the rare, remove Kaom skin. Give the mirrored rare.

Profit: X exalts and Kaom. Sell Kaom as soon as possible.

Rich gets richer world. I wonder if anyone profited out of this.

Somebody probably did. The question is if they abused it.
