Gorier death animations?

Death animations definetly add a lot to he overall experience, it would be nice to see some of the stronger foes agonizing a bit before expiring ^^ that would make the bosses look tougher. its really a fine tuning point right now since poe allready looks awesome, but the magic lies within the details

I think it would have gore in some parts only, like when you would use a hammer in a zombie head, it should blowup, or cripple some body parts of the monsters...
Its not really gore im looking for, but instead I want CREATIVITY, like maybe when a monster dies by fire spells it turns into dust. or when it dies near a body of water it wall fall into it, or fall into a bottomless pit like the ones in that cathedral of bones dungeon.

but the loot should stay in the edge of the floor lol we wouldnt want that unique fall down too would we?

also in a side note does anyone remember the death knights in D1?
when they die it was AWESOME.
I'd say good death animations is one of the major things I'm looking for in an action-rpg (no, really!), but it's also very hard to do, I would imagine. I'm guessing almost every animation in the game ('cept that hidden class) is done by now, so making new, gorier death animation will be A LOT of hard work. It's something you'd start changing in pre-alpha/alpha, not closed beta.
P.S: Just an opinion.

I do think this will add some more depth to the game. I would love to see all the cool effects and is one of the few things this game feels like it's missing. (Other then the blatantly obvious things of course)

One of the major important thing in PoE is raising the GORE level to a much higher level, within the creative death animations of corpse ! Well I agree with most you, I mean killing
foes IS like 90% of these kind of games so death animations are important. Though I have no idea how hard this is to do..
I know this is odd. But what about a gory Torchlight explosion death animation? For instance if you get a really high crit on a monster it causes it to explode in to several pieces? It doesn't have to happen all the time but enough to give you the satisfaction of killing things epically.:P Fire or explosion type spells will work perfectly.
I would like a Beta key, because I am British and like Tea.
Well, gory explosions get old fast enough. But let's say, it happens only if you crit-kill a monster, that would be great. I think the presence of unique crit-kill animations is an awesome idea, even if those aren't just the gory explosions kind. That'd be a little redundant, ofc, if there's a character with 100% critical chance or something like that.
