Maps that you prefer to vendor? (3:1 recipe)
Are there maps that you would just simply 3:1 instead of running them and if so what are they? As of right now Labyrinth map is just too unbearable to run with low mob density and the tight corridors. Anyone else have input on maps they generally just vendor instead of running?

For me one is the orchard map with the devourer boss, the other is where the jumping bean hillock is and the third where the super hard lightning trapper boss kills. They took away a nice chunk of my XP.
With a good group they are all manageable, but I still don't like oneshot mechanisms. - taking a trip to Belize, I'm so excited! -

Orchard is a good use for this, especially since upgrading into Sewer seems awesome. Great map.
I used to vendor Museums with this, but I think that with maze no longer around, the desire to do this is less. The bosses can still be randomly dangerous, so maybe after trying a few more, I'll keep doing it. I have not done much with it since the change. Arsenals are terrible. The resulting Springs can be small, but upgrading into them seems fine to avoid the slog/desync doors of an arsenal. I like to chance my Vaal Pyramid maps, but sometimes I get bad rare rolls that I cannot or do not want to run. Chaos should really not be used on a 68, so I save them until I get three and upgrade into an UnID'ed 69. Much better. Bad alch rolls on 69 maps can be upgraded into UnID'ed 70's too, but any higher (resultant 71's) I like to chisel, and would prefer not to upgrade into a rare, as chiseling a rare is not a good idea. I roll up all 66, with the advent of Lunaris 3 having level 66 enemies there's almost no good reason to do 66 maps. Piety drops maps and great loot at such a ridiculous clip, that you'll be trading up to the 67s in no time. That's not even counting in the fantastic mob density on level 3 as well. I've probably gotten 50+ 67's in this way and I absolutely do not think that the same time invested into maps would produce the same result. For these trade-ups I transmute all the maps and get an un-IDed blue 67.
Other than that I only do trade-ups when I've got too many of one map. I'm hardly running 67/68 anymore, so if I end up with 10+ of one map I'll usually trade these up, but without the transmutes, since I alch all 69's once. If you really hate a map, you can trade it up, but just know it's quite likely you'll get a +1 map out of 3 maps, plus chances at others, so it's not an efficiency thing but rather a "Museum boss rapes me 9/10 times and I'm sick of it" thing. E: Those say they trade up Arsenals: they removed a shitload of the annoying carts from the map, it's much nicer to run now, and I would consider it even a good map now from my experience. I think Arsenal is much better now too after the recent patches.

trade up 66 & 67 maps, and just do 68+ maps now.

Arsenal now have larger open spaces and fewer "warehouse rooms". It is much easier to move around then before. I find it more enjoyable to run them now.

I craft all 66-69 maps, and good quality 66 maps (10%+) go for chisel recipe. Once I finish 73 map pool, I will decide what to do with 70 map pool (it's growing quite nice).

This
" And those of you curious what op's talking about, you can trade 3 same maps for 1 next tier (eg. 3*lv66 for 1*lv67 at vendor). |
