The only way to get more high level maps is from the quant bonus on the map. So, i suspect people hit a progression wall at some pt where sustainability of higher maps is hard without high iiq/rare maps

A very conservative friend of mine prefers to farm merv for lots of money and buy maps. This seems great at lower/mid levels but may not work at the high end

Plus u dont get the experience of insanity hard content for max yoloing

But hey nemesis aint softieland

This is total nonsense. I've run many high quality maps and gotten nothing. I've also run maps that I didn't mod at all for this purpose. I get just as many maps from the non modded map as I do from a souped up crafted map. It's all random. I'm done wasting currency on maps. I have no issue with any mods on a map, I'm just sick of throwing away currency to get crap when I get the same if not more from a white non modded map.

I guess I shouldn't expect anything other than this kind of rubbish from a goof who uses yolo and softieland in the same post.

I agree its nonsense, my bad. I mean, if you run a high quality map vs a low one, its not like an RNG causes lots of variability. I mean, +30% quantity on a high std dev RNG for map upgrades doesnt need a large sample size to show a trend

That's the entire point of this thread. RNG. In order to get an accurate sample size you are talking in the ten of thousands, if not more. Nobody is running that many maps prior to the end of the league. When the variable of RNG is involved, the average player will notice very little, if any, difference in the amounts dropped.
You NEED to alchs ALL your maps unless you want to get stuck doing lvl 66-68 maps 80% of the time while not gaining any exp.

As someone pointed out, an alched map always nets a minimum of 3-4 alts + 2-3 chroms. You can always repay the alch you spent on a given map and 95% of the time you get 1+ chaos worth of currency in profit.

The only reason one would not want to alch his maps is if he's not geared enough handle too many map mods at once. IF you can handle it and ALTs your maps instead of Alching em, you're losing profit, tons of it.

Totally disagree. I am running only blue maps and always have a bunch of 70+ maps in stock. This game is all about random.

Do you only run 70+ maps or u need to go back to lower maps? Cause your char is only lvl 83 i assume you haven't done many lvl 70+ maps.
+Monster Pack
+Magic monsters
+Rare monsters
+2 unique bosses

You can only get two of those in a magic map.

jfyi, magic monsters give 3x more exp, rare monsters and bosses have very high IIR.
