You can survive very easily with 4k hp in hardcore mode too given your assumptions, so what is non-hardcore's raison d'etre?

basically if GGG wont find a better solution for this they will end up loosing 95% of their playerbase within the first few weeks of starting this game.

just let people continue in normal mode with higher lvl maps or whatever. call is wuss-league I dont care.

I don't disagree with XP loss on principle, but I think there should be a moratorium on it until GGG works out the rampant desync issues.

what i mean is that 95% of players will leave the game after the first few weeks of their playthrough because they will be too frustrated by the constant grinding - most ppl will lvl up one or two chars to a certain point until they realize how much more grinding it will take to progress after a certain lvl.
