Totems making this game too easy?

Totem users endgame tend to clear areas.slower.

Sorry, but that's enough of.a.drawback for me. Will I maybe use one while.leveling? Sure. Are they included in my end game setup? Hell no.

who the f*** needs balancing in a Action RPG?

no class need a nerf only a buff....

and anyway everyone can build a totem whats ur problem?
if u dont want to play with a totem u dont have to cry oO

biggest hate in a game is allways changing things buff/nerf politics like WoW or other mmorpgs. nobody need that in a Action RPG.

btw pvp is for fun in this game, not for league.

Calm down and please type properly, it makes the forums a far better place for everyone.

I've personally never made a high level build based around totems but I does seem that the best players utilise them in some way or another. I can't really comment, will have to try them out more thoroughly!

You think classes need buffs? Doesn't even make sense, the only difference between classes is where they start in the passive tree.

Yea who cares about balancing? Fuck betas right? Just release the game as is lol.

Try the build before whinging about it. Totems require line of sight to be cast. I suppose you are going to cry about rangers clearing a room by firing from the doorway or just outside too?
You have very low morale for someone who plays a melee class. Get some balls dude.

Totems require a line of sight for a second then you can run back. Rangers have to stand there and be shot, so it's different. I actually play a ranger bow build and haven't played any melee classes yet. Low morale? Don't even get how that applies here, and obviously you play softcore. Running in with "balls" into a room blindly is suicide in a instance that is similar level to you.

This ^

And I play one.

Yo I use a forking fireball totem (it actually has the fork support gem I did not fail at swearing)

It is excellent

but I still die sometimes.
I clear a room just fine using melee without feeling too threatened.Someone wants to use totems and spells more power to them. It's their game.If you are talking party play that's what it's all about.Different players using different tactics for the best outcome.
totems have thare place

thare a great tool on HC to overcome thing u would not otherwize want to atempt

u pay for the saftly with slower speed also alot of totem builds are a pain in the ass to play with. Spark totem players are kicked from my party. U want to make it so no other character can see what they are for positioning u can play solo.

That said thare a good part of the game and if people what to use them let them

Just a sec let me grab a beer...@#*@ Ok how did I die this time

Learn the rules, it's the only way to exploit them.
Seems to me there are three overlapping concerns/problems:

1) People can play 'ez-mode' cookie cutter builds (summoner/totem/etc) and then turn around and say "The game's too easy!".. encouraging the dev's to make the game harder.. which may cause a problem if you aren't playing 'ez-mode' builds. Note that this is regardless of the efficiency of the 'ez-mode' builds.

2) It seems like, at the high end, we're more or less being pushed into being jack of all trades regardless of build. Given the effectiveness of certain things in the game you've got to be a masochist not to use them to whatever degree you can.

3) The game is unfinished, there are a bunch of things that need buffed or expanded upon; traps, certain elemental spell categories, etc.

From what I understand, GGG doesn't mind OP end game builds that you've had to work for, but doesn't want to see OP ez-mode builds - so in my opinion they've a bit of work to do yet.

My ranger absolutely depends on her decoy totem. If that totem was any weaker, I don't think she would be able to do anything ;/
IMPORTANT: Whisper / pm me if I've been outbid, otherwise I'll have no way of knowing.

buying 18%+ aura gems! yeah, someone actually wants them! (paying more than vendor too!)
I tried some totem stuff, Not my cup of tea. I do find it convenient with skellies tho. From what I heard (prob just a rumor, or not) the spell totem will be getting a casting speed nerf. Personally I think they should nerf the HP, if this thing is going to be casting soooo much for free, even with the -40% dmg reduction, it should be able to die in 1-2 shots. Maybe make it a 1 shot totem and reduce the mana multiplier by say 50%. This way you will 100% have to protect the totem and be in harms way instead of the totem protecting you and just recast as they die.

OR make it fair for the NPC's. If we as the player are doing OP stuff, then give the mob's similar OPness. Give them castable spell totems that fire 5 sparks that fork with faster casting. LOL.
