In-game voice chat?

I also think this would be a waste of time. Everyone uses 3rd party voice chats that they can just invite people to. Most in game voice chats are utter garbage in my experience anyway.

DDO voice works very well, and is almost mandatory there. There are always 3rd party solutions though.

An ingame voice chat would be a cool feature but it always feels like it aint working when its implemented in a game or people aren't using it at all because it's not as good as third party software.

So if this was a feature to be implemented it would have to be done very well. Atleast in my opinion

I totally agree that would be awesome! or you could just get a ventrilo server. although sure would be convenient :D

People have vents etc that they can invite and ban people from.

In game voice chat will lag the servers, be full of chicks who want attention from the nerdy boys "omg im a girl giggle giggle" and kids who scream over and over things like "PWNED PWNED PWNED".

Starcraft 2 has in-game VOIP and HoN has in-game VOIP. Nobody uses either of them seriously.

I think the most they should do is sponsor Mumble the way Guild Wars sponsored Teamspeak way back when, or something like that.

Everyone should have moved from Vent to Mumble by now, I don't know whats taking everyone so long. Its ridiculous, move on guys.
