long term he is right though ... poe is a niche game and always will be with too heavy core issues.

ros on the other hand adressed and fixed most of the core issues d3 had, and _do not forget_ that ros is in beta at least 3-4 more months .. so it will be even more polished once its released ...

And a year after RoS another expansion comes out with loot 3.0, another lvl cap increase and a new class. Yeah, right RoS will be so good people will play D3 for 10 years.
I'm actually very much looking forward to RoS. I enjoy playing self-found and RoS looks like it caters quite a bit to solo self-found players, you can easily see this from watching Kripp, or anyone else streaming RoS for that matter. Where as solo self-found in PoE is almost non-existent. You could maybe "beat" the game on self-found, and by "beat" I mean Merciless Dom, but you can pretty much forget about doing maps.

That last part may be true but i doubt RoS will be fun for long.

Truer words have never been spoken.

:-P
You should just ask yourself one thing:

Is D3 addon for console released at the same time as the PC Version?

If not you are again just used to beta test the game for the final console release. And you have to pay to do this. Because yes its a game designed for consoles. Just keep this in mind peoople.

HF with the game.
Why you should try Harcore http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/209310/page/1

What makes you say it's a game designed for consoles..? Because it's on the console? Or perhaps because the console version was released later than the PC version with all the nasty shit taken out? I've played the console version, it's actually quite lackluster, mainly due to mob density having to be very low for performance reasons.
