Which WHITE items to pickup

I (nearly) always pick up superior whites to get whetstones/ scraps and superior flasks to get baubles, 4L early gear for new characters I eventually want to play, two stone rings, most amulets so I have at least one white one, 6S for jeweller's orbs.

The ones you crossed out, is that due to you not finding them worth spending the chance orbs on? Interestingly enough, those are most of the ones that would be on my secondary list of items I'd like to get "chance" wise.

I was mostly basing them on the cost to purchase them in trade chat vs the amount of chance orbs you'd have to spend. Facebreakers and Wondertrap in particular are worth next to nothing, and are definitely not worth chancing. If you want to try your luck with chancing but end up with a unique you actually want, try to chance a more expensive item, sell it, and then buy the cheaper unique with the proceeds.

Just curious, do you only chance once, or do you scout and then continue to chance? I'm assuming the most cost effective way would just be to chance it once and pray to the RNG gods - I imagine you could go through a lot of scours. Anyway, really appreciate your feedback.

don't scour unless it's a 6l that you really need to hit the unique (spine bow, occultist vestment)
