Iron Reflexes-- what's' the point?

When you get Iron Reflexes, does your dexterity increase your armor rating? If not, what's the point. all you're doing is transferring your gear's evasion to armor. If you're going to do that, you might as well use gear that only has armor to begin with. Also, you're cutting in half the purpose of dexterity. Each attribute has two benefits-- Iron reflexes turns dex into a one benefit attribute. I don't understand the point of it.
Because 1600 Armor is better than 1000 armor and 600 evasion when you don't have evasion on any other item

Also with Resolute Technique you don't even need the accuracy bonus from dexterity

So basically its an awesome keystone for duelists, especially when I'm in a party and I'm running Determination and someone else runs grace

I get like 6000 armor for free

If you use iron reflexes you can use armor/armor-evasion/evasion gear. That is 3 kind of gear. If you dont get iron reflexes you only can use armor base gear.

why can't you have an evasion and armor build? It seems like you have to go armor because evasion is worthless. What's the point of the duelist? You might was well must play as a marauder or templar.
cuz evasion is totally worthless vs reflect and evasion chests roll higher value than armor chests

u can go like this chest + other eva gear pieces + iron reflexes + evasion/hp nodes on ranger + jade flask and u end up with 22k armor so u dont die to reflect even with physical crit build (speaking nemesis-like 20k-30k dps range)
IGN: FifthCIShadow (HC League)
I was under the impression that armor gear could roll just as high of values as evasion gear now. I know this didn't used to be the case, but I know that was at least partially due to a bug.
The reason I use it is I usually combine it with unwavering stance. The negative of unwavering stance is you can't evade attacks, but if all evasion is converted to armor anyways with iron reflexes, doesn't matter. For this type of build you have to pump up your life to at least 3-4k even if you're doing massive life steal.

edit: and if you add resolute technique, yea, accuracy from dex doesn't matter.

Yeah forgot to add in Unwavering Stance, the trifecta of non-crit builds

No, not all evasion (well it does technically) are converted to armor when you go IR, you still have the default 5% EV left. Going Unwavering Stance will then make it go 0%. The 5% may be nothing, but if you use BoR which has blind, any non-spell monster that get blinded will have a 25% chance to hit by default. Blind is very essential in armor build as well because you still get the 75% chance to dodge attacks and non-spell projectiles. Of course, if you are pure Evasion, blind also helps out even more.
Sometimes you can take the game out of the garage but you can't take the garage out of the game.

No one mentioned getting 1000(or more with buff/aura effect) armor from grace
