76+ map boss are BS

I wonder if its even possible to solo these maps in almost all circumstances

you could report to GGG and have them look into this, sidtherat.

but I see a far bigger problem here, than RMT.

if the guy got 1-shot (or 2-3-shot like Mahesys said) with gear, that quite frankly would even take Chris some extra effort to dev-console-spawn - there really isn't any hope for the rest of us imo.

the better your gear, the more room you have for build and gameplay error.
I proved it recently, by using epic gear (for a super-generic-built level 26ish Marauder) to deliberately take 4 consecutive Vaal Smashes in Normal Nemesis, and live.

his build has mistakes, but it's far, far from the worst I ever saw, and I assume he isn't completely horrible at the game either.
if he gets killed in a few quick attacks - it means someone like me would basically need to not get hit at all, or just skip the boss if I ever get to a point of actually doing such a map.

horrible, atrocious way to ramp-up difficulty.

in fact, it's beyond atrocious considering the complete and utter lack of risk/reward in this game. my age-old complaint.

I have little problem when I get one-shot in Elite Difficulty Tarroch's Tomb in Torchlight 2, because the game rightly assumes you have epic gear when you go in. epic gear you can actually obtain by being good at the game.
what are my odds of obtaining gear like the OP's in Path Of Exile? zero.
and "odds" is exactly the problem. I want "ways", not "odds". crazy battles, tough bosses, multi-stage quests and challenges. and if you come out on top - here's your hard-earned epic gear.

but nah PoE is too "hardcore" for that. I bet the guy who dropped a Mirror from Normal Hillock or a Kaom's Heart from a damn Barrel, feels so hardcore right now...
obviously more hardcore, than the guy who just soloed Map Dominus with near-super-human reflexes, and dropped utter trash.

+1000!

btw i dont report anyone for rmt. since i compared top20 of ana/onsl with jsp forums it is obvious to me that ggg does not care about that
honestly, when i first read this post and looked at the guys gear and build i thought to myself "this is not obtained through legit means"

he would have plenty of time to realize that his build is unoptimized and fix it with regrets, long before he reached 76+ maps with those items

this post more or less proves that gear is not everything in path of exile, you need to know how to play the fucking game to survive even with godly items

how about surviving with non-godly items?

see, making the game hard for the epic-geared is easy:

{ Dominus.setAttackDamage("soul bugs", 99999); }

making the game possible for the normally-geared, that's the tricky part.
making the game risk/reward? yeah GGG won't do that.

I guess that 75+ maps are just designed to be accessible once one has a really good gear ( not godlike ) + a good build.

That's what challenge is.

I'll confirm that ( or maybe not ) when I'll reach the 75+ ones, I'm re-building a map pool atm ...
SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.
Funny, I can beat both shipyard and shrine with gear way way worse than this.

good build + good player + decent gear > shit build + shit player + godly gear

Funny, every half competent player knows that Magaera and Stormflay are way tougher than Warmonger and Piety.

your formula is lacking a few key ingredients:

1) have an awesome gaming rig with (at least one) SSD, and a GPU that eats multiple Arctic Breath for breakfast, otherwise you might just freeze and die while trying to kite Dominus/Storm-Herald/one-of-the-newly-insane-map-bosses, or get jumped-on while loading Docks.

2) have a top-notch internet connection, plugged in directly to the PoE Server near you with Optic Fibre, otherwise you might get Kole-slammed/Vaal-slammed/otherwise-one-shot while being 2 screens away from the mobs Client-side.

3) I didn't see "bad gear" anywhere in your post. do you assume there is no such thing?
or maybe you - like GGG - assume good gear if the player is in a certain part of the game?
because Path Of Exile is a game, where you really can't assume that. a very "unique" one at that.

do you expect to be able to handle the hardest content in the game with "bad gear"?
