Is multiboxing alowed?

So I been testing if multiboxing is possible in POE and after an hour I pretty much done it. So I was wondering GGG stance on Multiboxing?


For those who arnt aware multiboxing aint a bot is 1 player who is using several account at the same time doing the same keystrokes and mouse click. Many programs can be used for this. Autohotkey,ISboxer etc.

Multiboxing is like inbreeding. Yes it's frowned upon and yes you should be ashamed for doing it.

I don't think you understand what multiboxing is. My latest test resulted in all toon dying after 5min in HC. So it is technical possible in POE but is it viable im not sure

The question of allowed is different to the question of is it easy.

The game cannot tell if you are multiboxing or not.

But what the game devs have done is made it difficult to play while multiboxing. They did this by changing the way you receive exp and put level limits on difficulties.

What used to happen, and was quite controversial with the ladder races after the legacy migration, was that someone would bring a level 1 char into the instance with them, leave them at the entrance, and still receive the bonus exp and drop bonus. Now you have to be closer to the combat to receive said bonuses.

Given he's talking about combined key-strokes. It seems he's not intending to pad his drop stats, and more intending to play multiple characters in one instance.

Incorrect.

You only have to be close to receive the exp bonus, not the loot bonus.

Chris said on kripps stream that using multiple clients to multi-box is ok, and that people should be able to do it if they have the knowledge.

People say it's bad and you shouldn't do it, but they are generally whiny kids that just can't work out how to do it themselves, or don't have the skill to play multiple characters at once, or it's just people being ignorant about the subject.

But, it is really hard to do successfully in PoE, at least for levelling up. I think it will become easier and safer when your characters are a higher level, and you have decent gear on them and safe, easy to play builds. Like 4 spork totem characters.

multibox ruins an economy in no time 1 player gets 6 times the amount of orbs in the same time a single player would get

at this state of the game you are forced to get along with others to progress in maplevel as a multiboxer you ARE the party again no sharing of loot all is for u

if chris allows multiboxing i would be forced to play hc which i dont mind considering this game is focused on hc

hc will have a much slower inflation rate compared to softcore if this shit is really allowed

No, they don't, that's not how the increase is calculated. Chris has said before that he doesn't like it, but doesn't see it as cheating, and that he would try to find ways to simply make it not worthwhile. In my opinion, he completely delivered on that with the booster nerf patch. Since then, I haven't seen or heard of anyone managing to get any worthwhile benefit from doing it.

I hope it isn't.
