Map Editor
im not going to quote you because it would be too long, im being completely hypothetical i never said there going to use servers but IF they did then custom games would be good, you lose the point of posting an opposing argument when you just are finding reasons saying why im wrong, you completely closed minded and you need to see that it could work, there are priv servers of wow wich is completely open and they edited the map and the scripts to completely change the game and thats without an editor, people will always mod why not just make it easier for them... i understand it most likely wont happen but the point of a suggestion is just that we dont need you saying "NO i know what im talking about it will never happen" just open up to ideas and you say those games are suppose to have custom servers EXACTLY my point and the point of this thread why not let this game have custom servers(which have nothing to do with the other servers) it wont lead to cheating because the characters wont transfer over. and im not assuming anything im suggesting... if you read my previous post you would see that you blindly finding reasons why im wrong. im not saying your wrong your right the games ive cited are not like this one but its something that hasnt been done before and can set it ahead of the competition.

I'm leery of this idea for a rather different reason:
Path of Exile's maps are - aside from the towns - randomly generated. Go through the same area on two different instances, and surprise! The terrain's changed. For example, if a river shows up in one area, its course may change between instances. That said, I could see user-created/funded leagues - already suggested, incidentally - where the creators could alter the terrain-generating process for specific areas. I have wandered through insanity;
I have walked the spiral out. Heard its twisted dreamed inanity In a whisper, in a shout. In the babbling cacophony The refrains are all the same: "[permutations of humanity] are unworthy of the name!" |
