Just out of curiosity, why do you use the word cheers ad-nauseum, even when it makes zero grammatical sense? Is it an OCD thing or is it the result of some study into forum behaviour?

The point of the monkeys in Act 2 is to make you facepalm rather hard if you tried a build that worked fine through Act 1 but, due to having no AoE whatsoever, gets totally bogged down by a swarm of primates.

I actually think that's a good thing. For ultra-short events you can go purely single-target through A1 if that's what you'd like to do, increasing the amount of early build diversity. For general play and longer races, the monkeys kind of force you to go AoE (or at least very high attack speed), which allows you to make single-targets more powerful in the late game and makes it so every build is likely to run at least two skills.

Right now I kind of worry that single-targets might not be powerful enough, and people might go purely for AoE/Chain type stuff. Probably can't be fixed for projectiles (just chain the single-target to make it AoE) but for melee it gives some skills a good chance to shine.
When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.
