Zombie Life & Stats
|
Zombies do NOT suffer the res penalty that players do, they have a 0% base res regardless of difficulty unless they're lvl 20
An easy way of checking if the health is applied or not is simply visiting a unique, like the guy on the beach (forgot his name), see how long it takes so smash your zombie, then switch and try again. |

" What they fixed was a bug where zombies (for about a month) had approx. 7400 resist to all elements* tbh nobody noticed because they already had pretty decent resists to start with. " this comes from a misinterpretation of the fact zombies have 0 resists as their starting point in merc, the same way players have -60 as their starting point in merc. You then add your actual resists (equiv to player passives) to this starting point, then gear etc. their actual resists scale from who knows what to approx. 32% fire/lighting and 64% cold at level 20. Your guess is as good as mine as to how it scales. Maybe they all start at 0% and cold scales really fast, or maybe they start at 12/12/44 and gain 1% per level. As for the life thing, it was stated explicitly in the patch notes only the displayed life was changed. they never changed the actual life (aside from another short term bug fix similar to the resist one) so there was no nerf. They never actually had the life they lost. *it was some ridiculously large number, either several hundred or several thousand. the point was even with every possible debuff in the game they still had capped resists. Ok, so from the discussion can you confirm the following?
- Are the life numbers in PoE wiki correct for the zombies? They do seem too high right now - Does the tooltip reflect my passive choices? Or the life I see there is before the +minion life passives? |

A while back a Developer posted that minions start with Zero resist and do not change with the difficulty.
Pain is Good for it lets me know that I am still alive.

I use to think that zombies gained resist suddenly at level 20. But this is just a huge misconception. Zombies gain resist every time you level the gem (how they scale?) I have no idea it doesn't show up on the tool tip. Also really want to know what their base damage is =/.

well, i know the level 19 ones (with 90% inc damage from passives) kill A1 cruel things in one hit, or two hits on spell totem.
At some point I'm planning on getting a melee weapon for my witch that can do the same thing, should get an approximate for their damage. I did a similar experiement to work out the life of spectres using no regen + <10% minion life and measuring with animation flasks. That was before the monster life/dmg rebalance though. |

If you want to try, maybe going to pvp is a good idea.
Let me know if you wanna try. I don't have a lvl 20 zombie gem however. |

My tooltip seems to be displaying correctly now. Under 4k in a different item and 4.5k in the +2 helm. The tooltip may have been bugged. I do think however that minion stats need to be shown possibly in an added tab in the character panel. This would include hp, resists, damage etc.

I think the explanation for why they're not currently is because the resists have nothing to do with player stats or the skill itself. The gem (skill) simply summons a monster "zombie" of the appropriate level and applies passive/support buffs to it via ally system or w/e. The skill gem doesnt apply resistances to the zombie though, it already has those (same as damage, accuracy, armor etc).
Its the actual zombie monster that has the resist values, and theres no link currently between the skill and those stats (database wise, there is logically of course). Also i dont know if zombies have armor or physical resistance. I get the impression from totems they have something called physical resistance (like endurance charges?) instead of armor, so determination may not have any effect on them whatsoever. |

" It has been stated by a dev that zombies do raise with armour. We just don't know how much. |
