Sick of typing /oos

Someone should record a game session of them playing; I really doubt desync is nearly as bad as people make it out to be.

If you play someone who attacks fast or runs fast, IT IS as bad as people says it is. IF you are just some slow, lumbering tank, or doing something that isnt all that fast, like me spamming fireballs on my witch, its not bad.

Running around whirling blades through packs, spamming dual strike at 5/6 attacks per second with multistrike, and I desync all over the place.

As another poster said, movement skills and things like multistrike, the game simply cannot handle. Once you start spamming fast attacks, you are going to desync. Once you start using movement skills, you are going to desync.

Again, I can easily just play someone who doesnt use these things, and avoid doorways, etc. but thats limiting 90% of the game. N

Not being able to fight near doors, or use fast stuff, is kind of irritating. Also, holding down your mouse button. The minute you hold it down for a few seconds attacking, you are probably going to desync.

Not to mention, Brutus is quite possibly the worst and buggiest boss in the game. He is the king of desync.

If there is one thing for me that is a 100% assurance, is that when I hit Brutus, I will experience some kind of desync.

It may happen here and there elsewhere during my playtime, but I've never once fought Brutus and didn't experience desync.. this for me is just a fact.

There have been times where I ran into that room.. the game has frozen up, and literally 10 seconds later I'm either dead or near death with my character half way across the room.. and literally all I did was run into the room 7 steps.. pause.. nothing happening, and then bam..

My internet connection to the server is really very good.. and this is without any spells being cast, any skills being used.. literally running into a room and that's it.

Its stuff like this that I've experienced that makes me lol when people disregard desync and say "oh its not so bad, you just need to get a better internet connection or stop using skills which cause desync."

actually, it can happen whenever.. don't kid yourself.

Exactly. I personally stay desync'd because of the characters I play. I can play my fireball witch and not experience much desync as long as I stay away from doors.

However, on my dual claw shadow and multi-strike ground slammer, I stay desynced 24/7. I am almost never where the server thinks I am; especially on the shadow. I deal with it, but it does get really freaking annoying when it actually kills you. I died to map Brutus awhile back and I raged out to the point I almost made a post and quit this game. I kept warping back into the room he was in till I died, and I didn't get to do anything. I was just getting "hooked" I guess. I didnt attack, I didnt see him, nothing. Just warp, whirling blades, warp, whirling blades, warp, dead. I was fuming.

OK, I'll tell you.

I played D2 for years, first on ADSL (end of the line, attenuation (not sure about the english term) 52dB, in the countryside), I never noticed any desync. Then I played on this same line through wifi, no desync either. Truth is, I didn't know/imagine what desync was.

Years after, I moved to a bigger city. Fiber 100Mbps (~95Mbps tested, 5 Mbps upload, 20-30ms ping). Played different online games. Never imagined what desync was (sometimes lag, of course).

Then I discovered PoE. Loved it. And had to search why my char hits mobs on my screen with no effect, why I get hit away from mobs. Learned what desync is. Not because I read it on the forum first, but because it was so obvious that I needed to search if it was a severe bug on my client.

So you're saying I'm lying ? Why the hell would I ???

How can people honestly be suggesting to not use parts of the game? That is completely unacceptable, it's been like this since CB and something should of been done by now.

Truth
everyone on this thread hating on GGG are non supporters and thus don't really matter. Non supporter mooches deserve nothing. You GET to play their game FREE of charge. If you don't like it no ones making you stay and play but yourself.

Watch any stream and you'll see them desync. People including myself (with a gaming pc on very good connection) die every day to desync. If you don't get desync you're a minority, even the devs have commented that it's a problem.

Thats the most retarded thing I read on the forums today, just facepalm worthy. So according to you those who dont support GGG either through supporter packs or just buying points dont get to voice their opinions on a game they like? Desync is an issue that has always been here even in closed beta and because of GGG's design philosophy its not just going to dissapear totally but limiting your gameplay to stuff that doesnt cause desync is just ridiculous.

I like the the game and I know many people do too but you cant just close your eyes and say there is no problem and it will go away or tell people "you can do this and that and you will have less or no desync". I want this game to be great cuz I love poe.
