Yeah, absolutely terrible publicity for PoE. People saying "this is good" clearly don't care the growth of PoE at all. This was a hard blow. But honestly, GGG only has themselves to blame for this. They released this game and it's EXTREMELY buggy still. It's really a shame but I don't have any sympathy.

Your implication that poe needs this streamers makes me sad
your understanding of how marketing works isnt merry neither
streamers have audience that is perfect target group for company like ggg (or blizz or EA or whatever) - gaming enthusiasts willing to spend time (and/or money) on their hobby - games
and because you cannot play more than 1-2 games at the same time it is very easy for a game to get thrown into 'not yet, maybe never' bin. that desync death surely made some think about doing that throw
any company openly saying - we dont care about streamers nor community is dead minutes later. and btw - why ggg have added twitch to this game? because they CARE about streamers providing them free, perfectly targeted advertisement. it is clever, effective etc. as long as your product doesnt have a hidden 'secret' that smells when uncovered - desync

I think zachatta is jelly of popular streamers. Source: he insults stream viewers ('gullible') and he says streamers are not important at all. GGG probably thinks differently. Source: GGG giving Kripp alpha access and stream permission of alpha + GGG being in Kripps Mumble and talking to him. That was in closed beta and GGG realized having Kripp as a popular streamer is a good marketing opportunity for the game.

I think he was stuck in the wall after re-syncing. It's happened to me a couple of times during the Brutus encounter.
That aside, love streamers or hate them, I see it as a couple of thousand people who regularly watch this dude's stream will now not try PoE and potentially become supporters.

dude! i watched his totally poor poe playing, he was so retarded even a monkey would have played better and faster (3 hours till brutus )
and at brutus he was mainly killed because brutus pulled him.. the lil desync at the beginning is pointless.. he was just unable to figure out the most simple things.. had the worst skilltree ever and deserved to die..thanks got brutus did his job...
for this "big streamer" poe was to complicated .. well for him i still dondt figure out how he is good in other games.. poe isnt his game.. his personal skilltree lacks 200 inteligence
not desync killed him.. lack of inteligence was the problem.. he needs to skill much more of it
the best thing was his super uber victory shit gabber music when he killed.. the big bad rhoa guarding his nest .. muahhahaahahah
and most people in the stream were poe players waiting for his dead ;))
