How long can you play PoE?

Well I've been around for almost two years or so, still enjoy the game plenty. I assume I'll stick around for a few years more, but then again I don't play 10 hours per day nor will I ever have time to do so. At this moment I've played PoE as long as D1 when it first came out and a bit longer than D2 so seems I like this game more.
Be ready. You're not paranoid, you're PREPARED.

I probably never leave if GGG keep patching the game, I will take breaks from time to time, but if a game is good, I always come back for moar

I'm one of the lucky ones. First of all, I'm retired military. I'm spending some much needed time with my son and we'll both go back to school (he will start) in a few years. My wife works, we make good money, and we have pretty much everything we could want.
So.... I wake up, shower, eat, check forums/reddit, and start playing PoE. I'm off and on all day for hours on end. I've taken a break from PoE before, but I always come back and try a new build or check out new content. My wife, some family, and several friends also play the game. I'm also pretty satisfied with solo play... so I see myself playing this game for an extremely long time. Then again, I also play all text MUD/MUSH games from waaaaay back in the day that most people have never even heard of. Still a big fan of CS 1.6 as well. IGN: Sin

PVP in D2 was all about 1 shots. That happens when some people go all dps because theyre rich and some drag behind.
PS: I will play POE to Act 10 and whatever else GGG can come up. |

Been around a year; been playing regularly since buying closed beta access. Since release I've played quite a lot, and still am enjoying it immensely. I plan to play for years to come.

been playing almost 3 years, I may be a minority though - I still play SoTN and PunchOut! as well.

Count me as envious of your position in life, fellow Wraeclastian. Sounds like you've honestly worked your way up to a point that I hope to achieve someday as well. I intend to be around for the long haul also. :) |

I'm in for the foreseeable future, which, based on my past investment in prior games, is usually around 10 years.
I am self found, so there are a world of upgrades to yet discover. |

Well, I still play D1&D2, Resident Evil 1&2, Street Rod 1&2..... So will playe poe like rest of my life :)
