Level req to get all passive points
Just wondering what level you need to be to get all possible passive points?
Looking at the online skill calculator, it says we have 120 to use on a character. |

you must kill all 3 bandits on all 3 difficulties in order to receive the final 3 out of 21 of the non-level passive points

It depends on how focused you are on leveling efficiently.
I started playing in May of this year and my highest level character is 82. Coincidentally, that month is also when the first player in open beta reached level 100. Open beta started on January 23 of this year. Thus, the fastest player in the game (Standard league) reached level 100 in 4 months. There are currently 7 players in Standard league who have reached level 100. This means that it is realistic to reach level 100 in under a year if you are a top player. There is currently 1 player in Hardcore league who has reached level 100. Need game info? Check out the Wiki at: https://www.poewiki.net/ Contact support@grindinggear.com for account issues. A long, long time. I'd guess ~2000 hours of play time with one character.
Put it this way - Standard League started back in January, and there are only 7 level 100s in that league. |

" There's no normality about reaching max level in PoE. It requires a ridiculous amount of caution and great gear on hardcore leagues and a huge amount of caution and great gear on softcore leagues (in neither case can you afford to die at high levels if you ever want to reach 100). 8 people have hit level 100 since Path of Exile entered open beta. Not release. Open beta. In January. The first person, if not the others (I haven't bothered to keep track after that) was supported by a a bunch of people in tip-top endgame gear and a bunch of people feeding him end-game maps. He also was using a curse/support build with tons of defensive gear instead of really attacking stuff. Last edited by KG31459#1353 on Nov 10, 2013, 9:00:00 AM

Most people are considering the soft cap at some level in the 80s... which means you'll lack about 15 skill points from the max. Also, there are bandit rewards that out class what you can find on the skill tree, so it makes sense to sacrifice at least some of those three skills.

" Moral of the story is don't plan characters who spend all their 120 points on passives that are absolutely critical for build success. A Belligerent Expert System

No one else is going to ask it, so I will.
It's this not a broken game mechanic? The only way to create a full build, you will need to grind away for 4 to 8 months. Just so you can fully appreciate your character. I don't mind grinding, but this is silly. I don't mind the level 100 cap. Let those that want to get there, get there, but don't gimp the rest of us. Instead I have to use a virtual self cap of around 80. That's what I should plan my build around?? Does any one else see the flaw in this logic. I hate to say it, and I'm not a fan of the game, but Diablo 3 did get this right in regards to skill allocation. Actually the only difference now is, people are putting their own virtual self caps on. They do need to re think this. Make it so all passives points are available by level 75 or 80. Them just give stat bonus and maybe some other buff for those that want to continue to 100. |
