female duelist/marauder/shadow/templar

The point here is, the Ranger is a tad androgynous. There's been jokes made that she's 'both', but that's all they are. Given the nature of some of the 'kill quotes' she says to Merveil, or to Alira, there's also the feeling that, if not a lesbian, than she is at the very least bisexual. In the same way that Maligaro, if not gay, is at the very least bi.

Sorry to be blunt here, but I've seen a thread full of people jumping around the matter on their tippy-toes, and it feels a bit ludicrous. If these were 'bad' words, feel free to delete this post. It just seems awkward for things to be avoided like that, the game is mature, and aimed at mature players. So why are we giggling and going "Y'know" about sexual preferences?

On a more on topic note, GGG has stated the cosmetic options have a high chance of including gender switches for all classes. Something I hope they stick to, I'm sure there's some people out there who'd love to play a Male Witch/Warlock and a Male Ranger, as much as the people wanting to play Female Duelist/Marauder/Shadow/Templar.

TL;DR: Grow up, she probably likes women. Grow up, Maligaro is stated to like men. Welcome to mature fantasy. I think we're all okay with these ideas now, aren't we?

P.S. The TL;DR is blunter. The reasons why should be obvious.

Keep in mind that gender-swap is very cost-and-resource intensive. You need to record all those lines again, animate a whole new model to the level of detail that matches the existing classes.

While GGG has allowed the idea to sit on the table, I'd be willing to bet you won't see it for a while. And that's good -- I can think of better things they can do with *our* money.

And with that derailing, I'd say this thread has run its course.

Marauder might be female too. It's clearly not human, so maybe, whatever race it is, their female look much like what we perceive as male. Would make sense too, then there are 3 male and 3 female characters.
Plus, would be funny to have a Marauder with a female name, like "Little Daisy" or "Jennifer".
