Penetration gems mess up balance between ele/physical

I like what the devs are trying to do with pen gems, which is providing an alternative to ele weakness, as that curse is so universally used by any even slightly ele based character, its almost rediculous.

I still see no reason why pen gems create a -45% resist, rather then simply "ignoring" it. It simply solves a large amount of the issues, as it reduces its cohesion with ele weakness and its fellow curses.

As to the overall balance between ele and phys, it still exists, quite healthily. I seem to see too many people underestimating the effect ele damage has on the liquidity of HP, and seeing as how the only real defense in this game is hp/es and their subsequent liquidity, I see that as a huge downside.
