Mail system

Please include a system that enables the transfer of items and gold from one character to another, on the same and different accounts.

mail system works well for this.

I've read that they are using a shared inventory. No need for mailing if you've got this.

use mail to send to your freinds account who may be only online in a different timezone?

a mailing system still has its uses beyond a shared stash though much more limited. mainly sending items to friends on a different account.

It would be awesome if you could sent items COD (cash on delivery) so that you can trade stuff you see in chat even if you're running an instance or whatever it would really help.

I was thinking about an ingame mail system today and how it could be done to fit in lore-wise ... by that I mean having mail boxes would be a little too 'organized' for a place like Wraeclast.

How about a messenger service instead?
eg an NPC in each town with some orphan children with him (his runners) that you speak to and can send messages and/or items to other players for a small fee.

when you log in a runner could approach you and deliver your mail.

there could even be a side quest involving the runners being used in a cliche' pickpocket/theft ring.

I just wanted to post this suggestion because even though a mail system would be really handy and welcome, I personally would not like to have something as simple as mailboxes everywhere.

It would be too.... civilized.

I love that idea about runners! It would make so much sense, and it would be quite different from what all other games have.

If runners are not possible, instead of mailboxes, I'd want dead drops:

You could either make them something special, with secret signals or hidden locations, or if you're lazy, make them work as regular mailboxes with a different name.

Well it's a couple months off, but it's going to blow your mind when it happens. You will be able to do all your trading on the forums. You won't even have to log into the game to trade items. There will be an advanced in-game trade feature, too. It makes a "mail system" obsolete.
