Ya, I like to base all my builds around shitty gems. Really helps me to achieve my extreme desire to be average.

You mean you are so uncreative that you can only build around broken OP gems.

If it was clearly op, wtf did they put it in in the first place for.

GGG is not all knowing. balancing is a tricky process.

i like the fact that we didn't beta test anything that was released in the actual launch

LIES...

We "beta tested" desync for years...

That made it into "release"...

In this game we all want be stronger and stronger, that means we def will use every tools to be stronger. so we use op things. and they created it for players to use, not for them to nerf!!!

GGG are not Gods. They can't always foresee the long term balance of things that they add to the game. This is true of gem combinations, certain things with gear, and stuff that players come up with that breaks the game. Things are going to be balanced. It is not in the best interest of any of the players for the game to never change.

They are supposed to be. they get paid, ggg is a company the run games for profit or maybe for some fun. but anyway if they want poe to be better and better they must be very careful about their decisions after the realease.

Endgame is already so boring enough, we cannot bear the disappointment.

we choose gems that we think migh do good to our build. not for something or some items that we want. what we want is being capable of doing maps, being stronger and stronger.

By this logic, does that mean Spark was always inherently OP?

A lot of the skills in the game still require balancing. It doesn't justify knee jerk reactions of crying and throwing temper tantrums on the forums the second a balance change is announced. If all of you had the ability to see beyond the next 5 seconds in your life, you might learn to wait and see.

What seems clearly OP to some people could be "just what the game needed" for others. With the exception of the cooldown they added to it (which was likely hotfixed to prevent griefers from crashing other peoples' clients), balance all a rather subjective thing to look at, especially if you don't enjoy armchair game designing or really care to think about that sort of stuff at all.

So what, now we have to second guess every decision we make when building a character? We can't just build what seems fun any more, we have to put ourselves in GGG's shoes and decide based off limited information if any given new, cool-looking ability deserves the nerfbat and we should therefore avoid using it?

I'm not just complaining about those who build around the gem either; my story is a much less "all-in" approach (and likely something that's more commonly seen). I skipped over some defensive nodes because, with the trigger gem as it stands, I feel comfortable with the level of defense my character has. So now when the next patch hits, depending on how they balance the gem, I'm going to have to fix my character, likely by using a bunch of refund points I don't have because I doubt they're going to grant tree resets.

Some of us have been waiting for a long time and still don't see any worthwhile changes.

We waited through Beta with the "It's just a beta, stop whining" retorts.
Now we're in release and we're still waiting.

People don't wait long.
