I agree on that and I really like the Crit-Shrine :P

I guess GGG propably reevaluates the shrine buffs anyway. But at the same time they might be careful not to influence a running league too much.
I like the shrine idea but I agree with some of the previous posters that it is a little lackluster at the moment. If you see the shrine symbol on the minimap you know that you get some extra mobs and that's it. Some of the buffs are good to have, though.
I'm liking them a lot more than Rogue Exiles so far. I don't like Rogues at all so that's not tough to achieve, but anyways.
Funny thing is, I found most of the nemesis mods to be pretty boring. Fracturing and soul conduit I liked though.

Played domination for a couple days got super bored with the unoriginal shrines.GGG take some cues from your fellow arpg predecessors and have shrines with more interesting effects, like how about shrines that give a positive for negative, ex:d1 shrine that increased weapon dam but lowered durability, or shrine that changed your potion to next tier lvls.

The present shrines are droll because it is a simple spell that facerolls everything for 30 secs. The most interesting shrine I have come across is the giant shrine.

Ideas for interesting POE shrines:
shrine of gore:adds gore effect
shrine of -add skill- this shrine could make a player only use a certain skill(at lvl 20 skill gem lvl) without worrying about int/dex/str requirments
shrine of ondar: one item gets increased def stats other loses some def, permanently
shrine of kaom:rerolls weapon dam, may get higher dam rolls or lower permanently
shrine of wealth: upgrades a monster pack to wealth and increases there overall stats to be hard SOB's for 30 secs.
shrine of chaos: player is transported and must fight a unique boss monster(kole,piety, mervel, map bosses etc.) in a pvp like arena and win in 30 secs to get a unique
shrine of the sloth: gives player the slow aura to make monsters slower
shrine of the hidden(if ggg ever adds secret rooms): allows players to ''see'' hidden rooms
shrine of magnification: auras get radius buffed
shrine of the gemling queen:1 gem gets permanent lvl another gem loses a lvl
shrine of the cutthroat: player that touches shrine in team are enemies to the team for 30 secs, if enemy teammate kills you in time player drops a alch on death(not items like in actual cutthroat)
shrine of orbs: will upgrade a orb to a random higher tier orb depending on orbs in present char inventory not stash
shrine of the exile: a rouge exile has entered the area!
shrine of the pacifist: player can't attack or use spells, player gains reflect 100% of dam taken

These were a few off the top of my head I am sure there could be many more but as you can read my point is that GGG could have really thought about it and added some really tricked shrines that would make you think twice about it.
