Comments on the PoE Torrent. [ Hilarious! ]

..... you go to The Pirate Bay, you should go somewhere else.

These comments are amusing but they have nothing on the kotaku feedback PoE received a few weeks back.

A major theme on kotaku's PoE page.

I don't have alpha access, that was a LONG time ago.
I feel like I need to address the "useless" comments for the torrent.

Not true!

As I said before, and nobody seemed to recognize, if outside sites begin to host our client, and even 5 out of every 100 people who try to play it end up BUYING beta access, then it's a damn good thing!

Useless? I believe not.

Also, for many other free MMO's [ not generalizing PoE as such, but in use as reference to the situation ] are hosted on other sites and bring plenty of FREE ADVERTISING for their games!

If "ifs" and "buts" were candy and nuts, wouldn't it be a Merry Christmas?
Ya - in this particular case , i also agree that theres really no harm to the game client being tossed around or not. In fact , it can only do good really, as far as advertising is concerned. POE deserves all the Media attention it can get, and lets face it , alot of people troll the pirate bay.

At any rate, IMO, any real ARPG gamer that cares about quality of their gaming experience, is going to end up here sooner or later. So few companies seem to remember what real fun gaming is about these days.

Cheers.
GGG - Why you no?
i don't think the torrent is useless as long as it can be paused and resumed when you download it especially if you don't have time to download it continuosly imo.

The downloader for poe works the same. it picks up where you start off.

It's not a separate client, it's the same thing as the "DOWNLOAD NOW" button, just hosted elsewhere.

The client, no matter where it is hosted, does not contain the game, but rather it is a door to open which leads to GGG's content.

If GGG allows patching pause, then so should all the clients found elsewhere.

it only took me about 45 mins to download the entire game....AND I lagged out my internet from running D3, Skype calls, 4 tabs on Chrome, CoD Black Ops 2, AND DL the game.....and it still only took me 45 mins. And it got to about half way, then it picked right back where it left off. GGG DOES allow for resumed downloads. At least they did for me....maybe I'm special? I dunno.
