Rogue Exiles: "Neutral-Hostile"

I think youre playing the wrong game. Treasure goblins are in D3 and that is that way. -->

Of course I would want a unique flavor... like in Marvel Heroes, they have Doop... I'm pretty sure torchlight has a similar mechanic... It's pretty common in ARPGs. No need to be rude, I hate diablo 3 as much as the next guy but a fun and interesting mechanic is a fun and interesting mechanic and you shouldn't let your cultural bias poison you against them.
My words are poetry and thus not subject to spellcheck or the laws of grammar.
I explained what I meant poorly. When I said Exile, I meant an NPC (not someone who looks like a rogue exile) who would give you something to do other than fighting him. For example, a side quest. This would be similar to the NPCs that already exist except they would be random encounters outside of town.

For years i searched for deep truths. A thousand revelations. At the very edge...the ability to think itself dissolves away.Thinking in human language is the problem. Any separation from 'the whole truth' is incomplete. My incomplete concepts may add to your 'whole truth', accept it or think about it

I'd actually like to see this implemented on a broader scale, where you essentially have two teams of monsters and the possibility for battle. For example, it's always bugged me that, if you're in the Battlefront and you are fighting ribbons and blackguards simultaneously, for some reason they team up against you, when story-wise they should be fighting each other. Similarly, it seems the Alira would resent the blackguard encroachment on her territory and direct her bandits to fight the blackguards, if they would ever come out from their barricade.

In order to keep things somewhat simple, I wouldn't recommend more than two enemy teams, which means that in the case of ribbons + blackguards + rogue exile, I'd imagine the rogue would be on the side of the blackguards, representing some kind of paid assassin in league with Dominus. This would sometimes lead to situations where the monsters fight the rogue exile (Solaris Temple), and sometimes to situations where they do not (Lunaris Temple).

What I don't think makes sense is pacifist rogues, who don't want to fight. Screw that. They are there to kill you.
