Path of Exile - Map Hack

A map hack showing entrances and such would be mildly useful while progressing through the game. Once you hit the farming stage though, I don't think it would be very useful. For me, at least, the point becomes "slaughter everything", not "find the quickest route to some objective".

However, I'd gladly and without any guilt whatsoever use a client side hack that removes darkness in some maps. Not being able to see isn't atmospheric. It's annoying.

Yea that's true.
Endgame maps should always be cleared completely to make sure you don't miss map drops, so a map hack would be pointless.
And even if you're farming other areas... skipping to the boss isn't efficient, it's better to kill the rares/magics along the way at least, and probably big white packs too.

GGG should pay people for hacking the game/website.

That is how they do this in Firefall. If some1 can hack the game/website and show the Developer (Red5) how he had done this he gets 500$ and the Forum Titel Codebreaker (or sth. similar).

Or if someone buy/get a hack from someone else, he can give the hack to Red5 and get 500$

Maybe GGG could give a way Microtransaction Points for sth. like this :D

Edit: And every PvP game gets recorded, easy way to see Aimbots :)

I quite like the idea with the Codebreaker title and the reward. Nice suggestion Sir. Listen to this man GGG!

WTH? Fog of war is pretty common in many games.

Once again I'm saddened at the eagerness and willingness of some players to cheat.

In a very grind heavy game the death penalty equates to...more grinding.

i thought GGG encouraged the finding of exploits and hacks so that they could fix it... thats why the packets sent are currently unencrypted even

There's a huge difference between finding an exploit and reporting it privately vs finding an exploit and milking it for all it's worth until you get caught.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, weighing all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?
Well, I just dont wanna see people map hacking in the earlie game rush once its released. That would yes make a huge difference when you dont need to explore the entire flicker strike cave.

I really hope they find an way to prevent map hacking bfore release, or just let every1 use it as a free feature.

Just like Diablo 3 when people got a super advantage to other players with earlie dupes, hope this doesnt happens here.

That Codebreaker idea is a good one.
I've heard that there are plans to create such a tool
